Solomon and I arrived at a local diner.

I slid into the seating booth as he did the same.

A very pretty waitress greeted us at the table.

"Hello, I'm Danielle and I'll be serving the both of you this evening, any drinks I can get for you?"

Solomon glazed the menu. "I'll have a Root beer."

Next she looked at me "For you?"

"Strawberry lemonade please."

She nodded and said "Great I'll be right back."

She walked off and I looked at Solomon. "She's really pretty."

"Yeah she is." He said nonchalant.

"You don't seem impressed."

"I'm not." He surfed his eyes over the menu.

"Why not?"

"Because I got my eyes on someone else."

I began to blush.

He looked up at me. "What you blushing for?"

"Your compliment."

He let out a chuckle. "I was talking about shorty over there. She's real cute."

I looked and seen the girl he was talking about.

"Really?" I eyed him.

"I'm joking. Take a joke Mello."

"Her date doesn't look half bad either." I smirked looking at the guy she was sitting with.

Solomon snapped his head around to see the guy. Then he shot a look back at me. "Real cute."

I let out an light giggle. "I'm joking Solomander."

"Like I said, real cute."

The waitress returned with our drinks "You know what you want to order?"

"Yes can I have the full rack of baby back ribs and mashed potatoes and garlic green beans for my side." Solomon order.

The waitress looked at me next "And for you?"

"Shrimp and Chicken Alfredo please."

The waitress nodded and said "I'll be back with your orders."

Solomon started off the conversation. "So what's happening with singing again?"

"Huh?" I asked

"In the words of my Aunt, if you can 'huh' you can hear."

"Clever." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Anyway, I going to be recording a song that I made with Cordell."

"Really? Congratulations."

"Thank you."

"You you'll be recording just by yourself?"

"Not exactly. Cordell will be recording too sing he made the music portion, I just came up with the lyrics."

"So you two will be working together?"

"Yeah basically." I responded casually.

"You don't like him right?"

"You I gear some jealousy in your voice?"

"Never." He corrected his tone.

"No, him and I just grew up together being good friends."

"In other words, he likes you, you friend zoned him, and now you two are working on a song together."

"Ehh, basically." I smiled.
