I personally was shocked at how great of an actor Quincy was. The whole time he made me think he was this spectacular guy and the whole time he was still with his baby mother.

Though I was stunned, I didn't feel any kind of way.

"I guess you're right." I sipped my lemonade.

"Hmm, wouldn't have expected those words to come out your mouth."

"Well we were only friends anyway."

"So you're alright?"

"Yup." I said casually.

After more small talk, our food finally arrived.

Solomon immediately grabbed his eating utensils and directed them to his plate.

I softly clearly my throat. "Forgetting something?"

"You right." He placed his utensils down.

He reached over and grabbed some salt from the corner of the table. "They never know how to season stuff."

I let out a quiet giggle and shook my head. "I meant prayer."

"Oh yeah my bad."

He instantly bowed his head.

As he did, I said a silent prayer myself.

Once I finished I looked up to see him already eating.

"Hungry huh?"

"Yes I am." He smirked as he took another bite of his food.

I glanced down at my phone and noticed a text from my mom.

Mommy:
I was thinkin, tomorrow we should go out 4 a spa day. Just U & I.
8:57 pm

I looked up at Solomon who was devouring his ribs.

He looked back at me with his teeth sunk into the ribs, and sauce covering his fingers and corner of his mouth.

We both busted out laughing.

He licked his lips and wiped off his hands. "What?"

"You're really tearing your food up."

"And you haven't touched yours yet."

I looked at my untouched food and nodded. "Touché."

I began eating my food but couldn't help but to get excited about my spa day with my mother tomorrow.

Solomon noticed my quietness and asked. "Listen I know you're bummed about Ole dude lying but listen you got me here."

I started to smile. "I wasn't even worried about that anymore."

"So why you so quiet?"

"My mom invited me to a spa day tomorrow."

"So you and ya Mom are close?"

"I'm close with my parents period."

"True, wish I could be close to my parents."

"Well you can be close with your mom."

"My mom and I tolerate one another right now. We've argued and faught back and forth so much lately, you'd think we were an angry married couple."

"Why?"

"Like I said, I haven't always make the best choices but my mom makes things worse. Say I come in 1:00 am, which is normal for me, that was my curfew at my Grams. My mom will have a whole search party at the house trying to figure out where I am. Then yells at me in front of people to make a scene and I ain't with all that. She knows if I'm not home by 1, I'm most likely not coming home for the night. I text her and all."
