"And how do you expect to do that?" Declan asked, suddenly on the offensive. He didn't know why but Loreley was afraid of Matthew, but maybe he could use this to his advantage. He could keep her from killing more people or maybe he could bargain with her. He didn't know how yet but he didn't think he could use her fears against her. Even he wasn't that cruel.

"I will not give him another chance to torture me as he has done for the past 500 years. That bastard has made a joke out of reincarnating my long lost fiancé by using his heart that I gave to him," she said as she paced the beach. Her hair whipped in the breeze as she walked back and forth on the spot. Her face wore an expression of annoyance and concentration. Wait. What did she mean by reincarnation? This meant that this was not the first time that she had seen her long lost love.

"So this has happened before?" He asked her. He didn't even know if that was even possible. How could someone come back from the dead. Especially someone who died nearly 500 years ago. It just didn't make any sense to Declan at all.

"When a person dies at sea or in it their soul gets guided to this underwater heaven. But I didn't want that for Matthew. I thought he didn't deserve peace. For what he did to me." She looked down at the ground, regret showing on her face"So I took his heart as a peace offering in order to stay the way I am. But Davy Jones had other plans." She continued. She sat down on the rock and he sat on the ground in front of her. He was immediately taken back to the time when he was a child and he and Jordan would sit in front of their father, who sat in his dust brown rocking chair and told them stories of what it was like out on the open sea before he had met their mother. The fire was always on and the way it sparkled over his face made him look scary and fascinating. Taking a breath Loreley continued on with her story.

"He would use the hear to make reincarnations of him just to torture me for what I did. And he has not stop trying to kill me since I killed him 500 years ago." Something in the words sparked a memory in Declan.

"Wait what did you do to Davy Jones?" Declan asked cautiously. He was trying to tip toe around her word so he wouldn't poke a nerve. It was like walking past a sleeping bear. One wrong move and it would tear you to shreds.

"He thought that I loved him. When I told him I didn't he plotted ways to take his revenge. So as he said 'You ripped my heart out and now I'll rip yours up' which is what he did. Every 20 years Matthew comes back with a badder attitude than ever and is always Internet on killing me." She finished her story so she could breathe.

Declan was intrigued by the story. He didn't know what to think of it yet he knew what it s about and maybe how to solve it. But there had been a question itching in the back of his mind, ever since he had near drowned himself to get Loreley's attention.

"What happened to my father?" He asked her. To someone who wasn't looking, they wouldn't be able to catch the slight alarm in her eyes before it disappeared under a sad smile. But he was watching her and he knew she would never tell him the full story. It was worth a shot trying to get her to spill on how she knew his father.

"He was a good man who did great things. His death was never planned. It was a murder. I have been tracking him since he left the island years ago after your father died. But his movements are impulsive and erratic. I can't seem to get a permanent lock on his location," she said looking at him with sad eyes. It seemed that all the gold in her eyes were falling and they were changing colour to a washed up yellow.

"Will you help me find my fathers killer?" He asked. He need all the help he could get. And if Loreley could track from the water he could track from the land. But he knew helping her would come with a price. Something like this always does.

"Only if you help me first." She told him. And there it was, the catch that he had been waiting for. It s the first time he had a lead from what happened to his father and he was not letting it slip away. Not yet.

"Yes?"

"You are going to help me kill Matthew," she said. Looking at him sternly.

Jordan's POV

Jordan watch from his window as Declan talked to the killer. Even he had to admit she was beautiful, but still a killer. He had seen her the night Shane died. Had watched her walk into the sea in her satin blue dress. She was going to pay. And maybe Declan would too for helping her. He didn't know, he didn't care.all he knew was that Loreley was going to pay....
