Declan was walking up the beach. He had sent a text to Matthew using his mother's phone saying she would like him to scope the beach out and see if he finds anything. Declan had helped Loreley clear the beach all morning. When they were both done they were sweaty and exhausted. Loreley had shown him all the places that she had made a little hideaway from the world. There turned out to be a lot of them on the island, "But Matthew wouldn't be able to scope the whole island." He had told her in the morning.

"Don't underestimate him. I have many times and I have regretted it." she had replied with a solemn look on her face as she extracted the juices from the Oleander. The juice that came out of it was a pinkish champagne colour. it wasn't a lot but Loreley had Said it was lethal in small doses as well as large

So now Declan was taking a stroll along the beach, waiting for Matthew, he had been given clear instructions from Loreley of how to take the drink properly. He was to take it precisely 20 minutes before Matthew showed up. Loreley would show up later to cover him in fake blood. Declan couldn't help but be a little anxious. He would follow Loreley's plan, of course, but there were complications in what could go wrong. As Declan watched the sun set in the eastern sky, turning the once blue to a pinkie, yellow colour. Staring at it, Declan for some reason felt like it would be his last. A little demanding voice was saying he shouldn't trust her. But another voice, one that grew louder and louder each day, liked the way it felt to be in her presence. The musky, salt smell of her skin and the luscious white skin that seemed to tempt him every time she was near. Did she have the same wants as he did. He prayed to God to help him if she did.

Declan was beginning to feel lightheaded and woozy. He vaguely remembered Loreley's words. She had told him he would feel this way when he was about to pass out. Declan fell to his knees and clutched his head. His thoughts were swirling like a tornado, he felt the whole world spinning and going upside down. He fell back first on the sand and closed his eyes to the sound of the ocean kissing the shore.

Declan was woozy when he woke. He expected to see Loreley standing on the beach looking over him, but all he saw was white. There was nothing to be seen but white. He was in a white room. He then realized with a start that this was the same white room he had come to when he was drowning. Everything was still the same, crisp white and clean. Not a smudge of any other color was in the room. The white itself was making him dizzy. He had forgotten what he was doing on the beach with Loreley, he had forgotten the plan all together. All he wanted to do now was get to the bottom of what the white room was for.

A figure started walking towards him then. Declan didn't know whether to be afraid or not. Then he decided he shouldn't. The figure looked hurtfully familiar. The sandy blonde hair and the ice blue eyes hurt Declan to look at. Declan's father Andrew had not changed at all. he still has his swarthy good looks which Declan always thought he inherited and the same muscular athletic build. He came to a stop where Declan was and extended his hand to help Declan off the ground. Declan stared at the hand perplexed. he was afraid that if he made the slightest wrong move that his father would disappear in a puff of ash or dust and Declan would be stuck wondering whether it was a dream or not.

"You can not seem to stay out of trouble can you decky," his father said, making reference to his old nickname. Declan hadn't realised how much he missed it. Declan took his fathers hand and allowed him to pull him upright. he led Declan to the white leather couch. Declan sat down hard and looked at his father in earnest.

"What are you doing here dad? what am I doing here." Declan asked him. his father looked at him for a long one before he responded. But it only took those few words to make Declan pause in his tracks.

"Declan...you're dead"
