"Dear Stranger,

Today, it finally happend. No, I still don't know your name but...you looked at me.
I was sitting on a couch, talking to a random girl and, as always, couldn't keep myself from staring at you.
But this time, it was different. You, as usual, were talking to your friends but when I looked up to you, you were looking at me.

At me. Time seemed to stand still, my hands got sweaty, my heart beat faster, my whole body prepared itself for smiling or winking or ANYTHING but then you just..looked down. The expression 'disappointment' would not have been enough to describe what I felt right there and then, having the chance to communicate with you, but didn't take it. I was so angry at myself.
But only seconds later, I was starting to feel happy, really happy. Because. You. Looked. At. Me.
Why would you look at me if you aren't at least a little bit interested in me?
Another few seconds later, the happiness cooled down because I came to the realization that you were probably just bored and looked around the room.

Truth is, I don't even know if you like boys that way. I don't know anything at all about you.
When Sonja came over yesterday, she noticed that something was wrong with me. I mean, how couldn't she, after all she knows me better than I know myself. Sometimes that's quite scary, you know. She asked if I was feeling down again, but I denied. This isn't some sort of depression I am going through right now. It is something else.

When I came home from school, I made a drawing of you. Of us. Of the moment we looked at each other.
Now that I think about it, it was probably for the best that you looked away, or else, I would've fainted. I'm soo jealous of your friends who get to be around you all day.
Tomorrow's Thursday. Maybe I'm gonna see you again. Maybe you're gonna look at me again. Whatever will happen, I can't wait for it.

Goodbye,

Even."

Even put down his pen and fold the paper. He felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, so he took it out and looked at the display.
There was one new message from Sonja: "My mother invited us for dinner this friday. I said yes, just wanted to let you know 😊."

Even rolled his eyes. She always had to make plans for him. He stuffed the letter under his pillow, next to the one from the day before, then he took his phone in both hands and angrily typed. "Sorry I already have plans." No smileys.

Of course, Even had no plans at all, but he was sure there would be a party on friday somewhere.
Lost in angry thoughts about Sonja, Even found himself scrolling through Facebook. The guy he met in school, David, had invited him to some facebook group from his school, Nissen.

Since Even transfered schools, he had found a few guys he could talk to, but he wouldn't call them friends. So, he thought to himself, a little socialising wouldn't hurt. He went to the profiles of the group members, when he suddenly saw an oddly familiar face. Could that be? Altough the picture was black and white, Even would recognize those eyes everywhere. He stared at the picture for a few seconds, then, his eyes wandered to the name standing underneath it.

Isak Valtersen.

Excitement hit Even like a Schoolbus. Had he really found the name of the boy? Even took a deep breath, then he clicked on the profile. There wasn't much information. Isak was born on the 21st of June in 1999. He's 17, two years younger than Even.

Unsatisfied with the amount of information he found about the boy, Even furrowed his eyebrows. His finger hovered over the 'add friend' button.
Should he really add him? Wouldn't that be creepy? Maybe he could wait another day, see if they could talk in school, share a smile or something so it would be less akward if he added him.
Sighing, Even closed the facebook app und locked his phone. He laid his head back on the pillow and stared at the ceiling.

Isak. That was a truly beautiful name.

Drifting off into thoughts about the younger boy and his laugh, Even closed his eyes. Then he heard his phone vibrate once again. Probably an angry text from Sonja, Even thought to himself and found no motivation to open his eyes, pick up the phone and look at it. Seconds later, he was very glad he did it anyways, because on his phones display was a notification that made his heart almost jump out of his chest.

"Facebook: Isak Valtersen added you as a friend."
