Even: Hi
Sana: Hey.
Even: What are u doing?
Sana: Just chilling. 😴
Even: Remember when you said I could talk to you about..you know what?
Sana: About isak and you? Yes. What happened? You kissed? 😏
Even: How do you even know there was something going on? And yeah, kinda. But only on the cheek.
Sana: I'm Sana, duh. I just know. 😎 Congrats.
Even: Yeah, but my girlfriend saw. And now isak thinks i'm not interested
Sana:  Well how about you dump that girlfriend of yours and go get your man?
Even: That's not that easy.
Sana: Do you love her?
Even: No. Well, maybe. But more in a platonic kinda way.
Sana: Why are you still together then?
Even: Like i said it's complicated..
Sana: Even. Sometimes we have to close one door so that another one can open. Thats the only advice i can give to you. Be true to your feelings. ‍🌈
Even: I'll think about it. Thanks Sana, you're the only one I can talk to about this. Means a lot.
Sana: Anytime. 🙌

Even closed the facebook app and sighed.
What was he supposed to do now? Should he just try to talk to Isak at school tomorrow? He had to do something, that was for sure.
Sana was right. He shouldn't let Sonja stand in the way of something new, something beautiful.
So, before Even could talk to Isak, he had to end things with Sonja.

He took his phone and sent Sonja a text telling her that they had to talk.
The thought of hurting her made Even feel sick, but it was better telling her the truth then to continue lying to her.

Tired of the chaos in his head, Even forced himself to stop thinking about Sonja or Isak. He still had to do his maths homework due to tomorrow and the mess of his thoughts didn't make it easier for him to concentrate.

One tiring hour of numbers, square roots and fractions later, Even was finally done with his homework.
He packed his bag for school and then took a shower, ate dinner with his parents and finally went to bed.
But Even didn't fall asleep instantly, he rolled around in his bed over and over again, the thoughts of Isak and Sonja haunting him.

The next morning, Even woke up with a strange feeling in his stomach.
He still didn't know how to react if he saw Isak at school. He still didn't know how to tell Sonja that he had feelings for a boy, instead for her.

After one period of German, Even made his way to the lockers. He noticed a colorful piece of paper sticking to his locker door, it was an invitation to a party on next Friday. Motto: 'Famous movie characters'.
Evens thoughts instantly went back to the night where Isak made his little Romeo impression. A little smile flitted over his face at the memory of the way he held Isak in bridal style.
Even was about to stuff his books into his locker, as he heard a loud 'thum' and the whole locker construction trembled.

He turned his head to see what had caused the movement and his gaze fell on a boy and girl, passionately making out against the lockers.
Normally, Even wouldn't have cared, but to his horror, the girl, which looked like she ate the boys face off, had short brown hair and the boy wore a too familiar grey snapback.
Evens stomach turned at the sight of Isak and Emma snogging. He needed it to stop. It just wasn't right. He should be the one to kiss Isak.

"Oi, Isak!" Even yelled suddenly.
The two kissing teenagers broke apart. Isak wiped his mouth with his hand and turned his face to look at Even, an annoyed expression on his face.

"What?" he answered.

"Are you going to the party on Friday?" Even asked, nodding his head in direction of the party invitation on one of the lockers.

Isak shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, maybe. Why?" he said, raising his eyebrows.

"Because...I was wondering if you'd go as Romeo then." he continued, his lips forming to a smirk.

Isak barely visible flinched. Then, he put on a fake smile and said:"Yeah I've thought about it. And maybe the beautiful girl here will be my Juliet?" Isak turned to Emma, whose eyes lit up by his words. Even didn't give Emma any time to respond.

"Oh, I think I know someone who'd make a better Juliet for you, actually." he said, smirking.
Even forced himself not to laugh as he saw the expression on Emma's face.

"I don't think there could be anyone better as Emma." Isak spoke up again, turning his head to kiss the short-haired girl again. Even looked away.

After the kiss, Emma smiled satisfied and wandered off to her next class, not without giving Even a poisonous glance to the side.
Even just smiled innocently at her.

"So..will you bring your girlfriend, then?" Isak asked, sounding almost too casually. He turned around to open his own locker and got out some books.

"No. We broke up." Even lied, watching the younger boy's reaction carefully.
Isak abruptly stopped in his movement and looked at Even. It was the first time in the conversation where he fully looked at him.

"Oh, uhm..why is that?" Isak asked, confusion visible in his voice as he again turned to his locker.
Even wasn't sure if he'd imagined it, but for a second he thought he heard a trace of joy in Isak's voice.

"Because.." Even closed his locker and made a few steps in Isak's direction, till he came to a stand in front of the younger boys open locker.

"I have feelings for another person." he continued, looking directly into Isak's eyes.

Even watched with satisfaction as the younger boys mouth slowly fell open. He raised his eyebrow in a provocative manner.
Isak closed and opened his mouth for a few times, but not a single word came out. To Even, he looked like a lost little puppy.

"I'll see you at the party, then." Even spoke up again and winked at Isak. Then, he turned around and walked down the hallway, leaving behind a speechless Isak.
