Slaves of the World

 For man usually takes pride for the things that God has blessed him with.  We become so engrossed with the things of the world that we forget that the source of everything is the Creator.  We work so much to fit into the standards of the material world that is set on what is only temporary.  How much wealth would really satisfy a man's greed?  The world has enslaved us.  In darkness.

Why do we live in the first place? Do we work to satisfy the needs of our body or perhaps we work to satisfy our personal ambitions? Or do we live to fulfill the purpose that God has given us from the beginning of time?  Do you frustrate over dreams that never came true?  What gave you the idea that you can actually control your destiny when we don't even know what would happen in the next five minutes? Anything can happen.  In a blink of an eye, all our dreams may be snatched away.  What then would be left of us?  Would we still continue to desire to live?  Or do we wallow in the deep agony of frustration?  Or maybe we try again or move on?  To where?

Perhaps you are on top of the world having everything that you desire. Do you stop there?  Or do you make another dream?  Or do you develop an anxiety that somebody may snatch what belongs to you and so you try to secure with all your might everything that you have worked hard for sometimes even going against your own kin for they would also want a piece or all of what you have?  When will it ever stop?  Would you want to stop?  Or do you continue to search for something that you yourself do not understand?  Then you would know that having everything in the world is merely having anything at all when you don't find what can fill that inner void in your soul.  You then realize that the world controlled you.  Not you controlling the world.  Then you grow weary.  Weary of the insatiable demands of the Physical world.  Have you even lived?

Allow your body and soul to rest for a day.  Only the slaves do not rest.  Forced to work with no consideration for a slave is of little value.  But Jesus has already freed us.  Do not anymore go back to being a slave for you have been bought by His precious blood. Give yourself time to worship and allow God to renew your strength that you will be able to stand the coming days.  Work to live so you can worship and give thanks to the Father for all the wonderful things He has done.  That is our purpose.  Do not stray or the darkness will devour you and keep you in.

Acknowledge God in everything you do.  Do not let your heart be covered with pride for apart from Him we can do nothing.  We can always try but the Lord's purpose will always prevail.  If you fail to fulfill what has been tasked for you to do, then know that you have no right to live for your life belongs to Him.  For He gives and takes away. 

The Lord is the vine and we are His branches.  We work so we could return the glory to Him.  we must bear fruit for that is why we are sent into this world.  For on our own there is nothing that we can do.  The great things that have been done through us were done because the Lord has willed it yet in our pride we own up the honor that men will glorify us. And it makes us feel important.  For a while.  In time we will come to realize that if we fail men, men will also hate us. But the Lord has loved us even in our weaknesses.   For those who are hated by men because of Him, the reward is greater.  The heavenly honor is greater than all the glory that men could give from this world.  Christ Himself was hated by the world, so will His chosen will be.  For no servant is greater than the Master. 

Be grateful for every breath.  For every morning that you get to see for many have failed to open their eyes.  Humble your hearts to the Lord and call upon Him and you will see the great things that He has done for you.  His love is so great that He Even gave you the freewill to choose to love Him with all your heart, mind and soul for we are His friends and not slaves anymore.  Free to love and free to choose which master to serve.  The world or the Lord.

Ecclesiates 2:17-26
The Futility of Work

18 I came to hate all my hard work here on earth, for I must leave to others everything I have earned.19 And who can tell whether my successors will be wise or foolish? Yet they will control everything I have gained by my skill and hard work under the sun. How meaningless! 20 So I gave up in despair, questioning the value of all my hard work in this world.

21 Some people work wisely with knowledge and skill, then must leave the fruit of their efforts to someone who hasn't worked for it. This, too, is meaningless, a great tragedy. 22 So what do people get in this life for all their hard work and anxiety? 23 Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless.

24 So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. 25 For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? 26 God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
