Beloved, God chose you among the people of the earth. You are of the heavens but you are still a part of this Physical World. In the heavenly realm you shine like mighty warriors, defender of truth and of the light. The Lord has marked you with His anointing and He has set you apart. Hold on to this that you may not lose courage as you wait for the return of your King. He will surely come.
And because you are still in this world, the world will always try to own you and darkness will try to consume you to make you a part of it. Make your faith your weapon and shield to fight against the forces that drag you away from God. Even from the battle against your own desires. Call upon Him and He will protect you and with the blood of His Son, cover your soul that the enemy might not snatch you away. It is a hard battle but God has promised to be there for you. Believe in this even at times that you feel like there is no one there. He is there.
God's kingdom is not of this world. Do not despair when at times you despair on things that matter to you. Keep your eyes on the Lord for nothing is more important than Him. Even the Lord Jesus allowed himself to be captured for his soldiers were not on earth to defend him. All for the truth and for the Word to be fulfilled. In obeying God, sometimes the physical suffers but the soul is glorified.
Do not be afraid of what can kill the body but be afraid of what can kill the soul. This is what we are being reminded. One way or another, the flesh will perish, but in Jesus, a life everlasting awaits.
