The Whole Armor of God

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.--Ephesians 6:10-12 (NLT)

What could protect us from the cunning enemy?  The ancient serpent that deceived the world.  The great accuser of humanity that always convicts us by reminding us how unworthy we are of God's love.  Put on the armor of GOD.

Many of those who claim that they know GOD would utter in their prayers and declare that they bear the armor that would protect them from all the evil in the world.  But what does it really mean to wear the armor? 

Ephesians 6:13-17 says,

"13 Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.6 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Start by wearing the Helmet of Salvation to cover the head.  Our heads hold our mind.  Our thoughts. it is also the battleground of the enemy. So you must protect your mind. Wear the helmet of Salvation. I believe that To wear the helmet is to fill your mind with whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable —if anything is excellent or praiseworthy —think about such things.

if we think about these things, we will be able to shut down the lies of the enemy and all the other voices other than the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The breastplate of righteousness.  In our breast lies our hearts.  We wear the breastplate to protect our emotions and our hearts from what is worldly and temporary.    To wear the breastplate is to guard our hearts for from our hearts all things flow. Do you know your eyes follow your heart? Kung ano ang pirmi mo natulok ara da angbkasing kasing mo. Thats why if Jesus is in your heart ang mata mo ara pirmi sa Iya Pulong. So to wear the breastplate of righteousness is to Enthrone Jesus in your heart.  Seek Him first and His righteousness and all things will be added unto.

The Belt of Truth.  Let truth be the only restriction that we have upon ourselves that we may not say or do anything apart from it. Stand firm on what is true for truth is truth even when denied. Let it not be a hindrance instead let it be your freedom from lies. Do not believe anything that is not in accordance to the Word of God. Kung wala sa Bible, indi pagpatihi. Kay ang tanan nga Kamatuoran ara sa Bible. To wear the belt of Truth is to stick to the Truth.

The Shoes of Peace.  Be identified as Bearers of Peace.  For God is a God of Peace.  Bring peace and leave peace wherever your feet takes you that they know that you belong to God.  Wear them on your feet and let peace be felt where you are. 

The Sword of the Holy Word of God.  Take this as our weapon against all the lies and deception of the enemy.  For our enemy is the father of lies and is very cunning. Evil always pretends to be something it is not.  How else do you recognize it but by taking the Word of God into your hands?  The only way we can sharpen our swords is by knowing His Word.  For a single word can reveal deception if one is sharp with the Word for God will pour the wisdom to identify the enemy if we seek to know His Word.

The Shield of Faith.  What else can shield us from all the attacks but our faith? FAITH is believing that soe.thign is real even youbhave not seen it yet. Even when the situation before you looks like you are surrounded believe that you are actually surrounded by God.  Have faith taht if God is for us, who can be against us? Sino makapirdi saton kung ang Ginuo kaupod naton?  There must be no fear in this truth and so God always tells us, "Be not afraid." Remember that if you have faith like a mustard seed it is enough. If you have faith like mustard seed, you can move mountains.

To wear the armor of God is more than just a declaration that we utter in our prayers. It is a way of life. Piece by piece, we put it on in our lives. We are called to live a life of holiness for God is Holy.  For when we do, the enemy will lose its hold on us. It cannot accuse us. It cannot stand against us. We shall rise victorious in every battle with the Greatest Warrior for we fight with God who lives forever and ever.
