Matt's POV

I looked at my watch as I locked the spare room door.

10.10pm.

The girl of my dreams was just naked in front of me a few minutes ago and I have to leave her right now to blow out my f&cking candles.

10.15pm - we cut the cake Matt!

It was like a production line of events that were meant to happen at exactly the right time. My parents were so anal with time it really annoyed me. I just sometimes wished they learnt to relax and have a little spontaneous fun.

Tonight's supposed to be one of the biggest events of my life and I really couldn't care if I was here or not. I honestly wanted to go back into the spare room and check on Abby instead.

My best friend Connor had the girl of his f&cking dreams and lost her because he was a complete di&k. He cheated on her with her best friend Sasha and Abby's been a mess since. She lost the two most important people outside her family unit on one day. And she's been a reck ever since.

"It was just a hook up." Connor told me, he just needed to relieve himself of the sexual tension between the two of them and Abby was away visiting family. No one was supposed to find out. But Connor had no idea Sasha took photo's of him whilst they slept off their escapade and instagramed their night of 'fabulous passion'.

What an arse. I punched him dead on in the nose and broke it. We haven't spoken since. He better f&cking not turn up tonight otherwise hell will break lose.

Earlier today Abby had come over to help set things up. My sister Mikayla who was a year younger had recently become good friends with her and now she's over my place all the time. I always thought she was gorgeous, but now I've gotten to know her I think she's just amazing.

As I take the last step down into the games room it's 10.13pm. I can see Mum cuing me to go over to the main table so she can bring in the cake all lit up.

I look around the room and there's so many people here tonight. Beer, BBQ and boobs that's what the guys are here for not me let's face it!

The music stops and I see my parents walking in with the cake. Everyone starts singing right on cue "Happy Birthday." I should be feeling chuffed there's over 100 people here tonight but there's only one person I want to see right now and she's upstairs probably passed out.

I hope she sobers up, she's supposed to be staying the night, and I was hoping something might happen between the two of us. I've waited long enough to make a move 3 months had passed since she broke up with Connor. I just hope she gives me a chance.

It's only 10.18pm still early, so fingers crossed.
