Who's In?

Tyler's POV

We were still on the dancefloor having so much fun. I'd noticed Natalia's Mum staring at me and I just decided to ignored it and focus my attention on the amazing girl I was dancing with. Matt was already on the dance floor when he came over and joined in. 

"Glad you're here, please excuse me I have to go to the ladies." Natalia smiled my way and walked off.

"How's the birthday boy?" I nudged Matt.

"Yeah good. Listen, Natalia's Mum's finally going home soon and I begged her to allow Natalia to stay longer. So once she's gone take her down onto the beach and get to know her. She's really an amazing girl and I know you've had it bad for her all year."

"Bro, are you serious?" I couldn't believe my luck as Matt burst into laughter.

"Tyler, you're a great person and you'd actually be good together, so go for it. This may just be you're only real shot so get it right."

"Did her Mum ask about me?"

"Yeah she did but I just told her the truth. She actually thinks you're hot." We both laughed.

I saw Natalia head our way but as she got onto the dance floor some guy grabbed her pretty roughly and began to push himself against her. I heard her squeal in fright.

I literally rushed over to the scene within a few seconds and forced the guy off her. There was a bit of a scuffle and then the music stopped.

Seeing it was Ryan who was the aggressor I knew the guy, he was in our year so I knew how to handle him, but right now he was so drunk.

"Mate, gentle there Buddy." I patted his back as he swayed. "Now that's my girl, please be gentle with her, you hurt her Ryan. Natalia come here babe." The room was quiet. Natalia desperately reached out for my hand and I placed my other arm around her waist as she cuddled into me. "Thanks Ryan." Again I patted his back.

I slowly backed away.

"S, soz, T,Ty, I thought she was my, mine."

"All good." I exaggerated my movements as I waved him off.

With that the music started up again and Matt went to Ryan with a bottle of water. His Mum held a finger to her throat meaning cut off his alcohol supply.

Natalia's Mum headed our way.

"Natalia, are you ok sweetheart?"

"Thanks to Tyler." Natalia smiled at me. "Mum, this is Tyler. He's in my year at school."

She placed her hand out to shake. "So nice to meet you and thank you for helping Natalia."

I smiled. "No problem."

"Well, I'm heading home so when the party winds up come home. Matt mentioned a few of you would stay back so if you wish to hang out you can."

Natalia looked shocked. "Thanks Mum, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight darling and so lovely to meet you Tyler." She smiled again.

"Lovely meeting you too ... ah."

"Call me Natasha." She nodded. "Nite kids"

"Nite." We said in unison.

She walked towards the door then I looked back at Natalia.

"Would you care to get some fresh air with me my Lady." I placed a bent arm out for her to hook into.

"Please." She sweetly smiled.

I looked at my watch it was just after 1100pm, so I decided to take Matt's advice as we headed down towards the beach.
