Picture of Dean

Hunter's POV

Wow the lights inside the house were amazing swirls of purple and aqua filled up the room whilst the music was blasting an all too familiar tune. I suddenly relaxed when the Birthday Boy came up and welcomed us into his home.

I dug out a wrapped present from my bag and gave it to him. To say he was touched was an understatement he appeared so moved by the simple gesture. He ended up pulling me into a strong hug.

Anna and I continued towards the music. We quickly found Dean but Tyler was no where to be seen. For a moment I could have sworn Dean completely checked me out winking my way.

Then Tom and Dean slowly made their way over to us with a drink in hand.

"Well hello, it's my shout what can I get you gorgeous ladies?" Tom smiled and his dimples showed.

"Vodka, lime and soda for me and Anna, do you want something?"

"Um, I'm driving so not unless I leave the car here and we walk back.... nah, I'm right for now, I'm good." Anna smiled at Tom.

Dean made his way over to me. "Sucks being the driver I'm on coke tonight."

"Sorry to hear that." I giggled.

"So, how has your holidays been?" He asked.

"Ok, I've been busy with work and I did a charity gig today at the hospital in the children's ward. I'm still on such a high. It was amazing, you end up realising how blessed you are in this life to have your health."

"You're one amazing chick. Do you know that?" Dean was smiling right at me, he lent over and kissed my left cheek. I instantly blushed.

Tom awkwardly interrupted us as he gave me my drink, then Dean asked me to dance. I looked over at Anna and she shoed me along. Sharni and Samantha had joined the group and Tyler had turned up with Matt's sister Mikayla.

Anna was eying Tyler and Mikayla, I knew she had her sights set on him so I was sending out all positive thoughts to help her get him.

"Follow me beautiful." Dean whispered into my ear, it gave me little goosebumps. He took my hand and was even lightly caressing it.

Instead of going straight onto the dance floor Dean walked me towards the back of the garden, it led to many steps which took us down onto the beach.

There were flamed torches all around the area and a couple of scattered rugs and cushions.

"Wow, this is really something." I was watching the moonlight hit the rolling waves with flickers of light off the torches. As the beat of the music followed into the pattern of the waves crashing on shore it all felt a little surreal.

"Hunter, let's sit down and talk." Dean took us over to the most intimate set up.

"How did you even know this existed."

"Matt mentioned they were going to set up the beach area, that way he could bring the late party dwellers down onto the beach so we could continue without disrupting the whole entire neighbourhood." Dean explained. "Come sit with me." He patted the rug.

I slowly sat down next to him and again he grabbed my hand.

"Hunter, have you any idea how much I like you?" Dean looked me straight in the eye. I blushed lowering my head to the ground. He picked up my chin with his hand. "Baby girl, never look down."

"I don't know what to say. I've liked you for a while as well Dean." He turned my chin and lowered his lips onto mine. He was tender at first then as I allowed his to gain further entrance he passionately deepened the kiss. It was easily the most amazing kiss I've ever had. My entire body was tingling and completely on fire. He slowly pulled back after a few minutes of making out.

"Hunter, please go on a date with me tomorrow. Just give me one chance, I promise you won't ever regret it."

A massive smile was goofily plastered across my face. "Okay, Dean."

He lent down and continued kissing me. I'd only been at the party for a couple of minutes but it was turning out to be the most amazing night of my life.
