Samantha's POV

As we walked into the house I couldn't believe my eyes. The place was immaculate, his family had real money. We continued walking towards the music and lights when the house opened up into a massive room. There were already about 50 people loitering around the main area and the rest of the party goers had spilled out onto the balcony and pool area which had the most amazing ocean front views.

There was a makeshift dance floor overlooking the downstairs balcony. People who'd been dancing off a sweat were jumping straight off the balcony into the pool to cool off.

The Dj was set up on the upper balcony and the music was really good. Without realising I was hitting the beat swinging my hips as I took each step.

Sharni first caught sight of Matt the birthday boy. He was such a cutie and tonight was no exception. He wore a white shirt with a black skinny tie and a massive grin. Sharni caught his eye and we waved as he headed our way.

"Welcome. So glad you two could make it and tonight Ladies you both look gorgeous." He gave us a kiss each on the cheek. Sharni' face went a slight shade of red and if I'm not mistaken so did Matt's.

"Wouldn't have missed this for anything. Sorry we were late I had a shift at work and I was lucky enough to have a 16 year olds birthday booked so I did her make up." I smiled at Matt then noticed how Sharni was so unusually quiet.

"All good. Parties never start until after 10pm and there's still plenty of time to have fun. So go grab yourselves some food and a drink and have a great night." Matt gave us his signature smile. This boy would be the perfect candidate for a toothpaste commercial.

"Thanks Matt catch up soon." I replied.

"Definitely." He smiled down at Sharni. Matt walked over to greet more guests who had just arrived.

"What the hell happened Sharni?"

"I, he, um... he's soooo hot." She but her lip.

I giggled. "Seriously girl you're never going to win him over in silence. That boy is in serious demand and unless he knows you like him he won't make the first move. He always gets confirmation that a girl likes him before he asks her out." Who thought boys could be so insecure?

Sharni was staring at Matt as he kissed the cheek of the three arriving female guests.

"C'mon, let's go get something to drink." We walked over to the bar. I got a Vodka and Sharni got a mixed berry cider. We'd planned to leave the car at Matt's and walk home. One of our favourite songs began playing so we stepped outside and made our way to the dancefloor.

"This is going to be a great night. Let's cheers to that." The girls clinked their drinks and began dancing to the sweet sounds of Don't threaten me with a good time.
