October 5th, 2016. A day to remember forever.
Things were getting well wrapped up on camp. Run Squad was currently piling into one of two trucks on camp, getting ready to leave and look for our next safe haven.
Funny, when Joshua said the farm would be a place for us to stay, a place that was safe and was big enough for all of us, it felt like a dream. We were going to survive.
Now... now I wish it was a dream.
Vernon and I had yet to announce to everyone that we were leaving tomorrow. It was going to be hard to even say it, let alone actually carry out the plan without breaking down. I couldn't even imagine the look on everyone's faces.
Vernon and I stood next to the truck, looking in at the people we grew to love. Cheesy, I know, but I did love everyone here. I cracked the smallest smile, seeing Wonwoo wearing his flower crown, crafted by little Mijeong.
"You guys be careful, okay?" Vernon said, "We don't need SoChan having heart attacks."
"Everyone finished packing last night, right?" I added. "If anyone wants to stay behind, I'm sure it'll be fine."
"Raejin, Vernon. Calm down." Mingyu said.
Yunmi laughed, "Everything will be okay. Just go, start getting stuff ready."
For once, we were the worried ones. It was weird to be on this end of it.
We walked away, and they left. I had no clue what they would find, but I was hopeful wherever we ended up next, it would make us feel just as comfortable, just as safe as Vernon's farm did. I hoped we'd be able to call our next camp a home.
Inside, I tried to calm myself down and get my brain into a serious thought process, but I started to worry again, this time for a different reason. Chaeji wasn't back.
Last night, Chaeji had packed her things with Run Squad, since she already knew about Gyeongha and the Hellseekers. We decided to tell her about the plan too, so she was ready to go, except for the fact that she wasn't even here. When we woke up this morning, Motor the horse was gone, as was she. I prayed she was just out on a walk or something, but she didn't leave a note or anything.
If she didn't come back, I wouldn't be okay. I don't know what I'd do without her. She was the first person Jeonghan and I found. She was with us through it all.
"Raejin, are you ready to tell everyone?" Vernon caught my attention again. I sighed, nodding.
We now stood in the corridor where you could see straight down to the kitchen. To the left was the living room, where I assumed most people would be.
"Meeting in the living room!" Vernon shouted, "It's serious!"
We then walked into the living room ourselves. I eyed down the members in there, seeing Chan had his flower crown on too, and noticed the only two who weren't there were Jeongsoo and Minghao.
"Oh, Jeongsoo is in the bathroom," Mijeong basically read my mind.
"And Minghao went with him, by request of Jeongsoo himself." Soyeon informed.
"Alright, well we have a bit of an announcement to make." I told them. Just then, the two bathroom boys entered.
"What's up?" Jeonghan spoke out. I was a little shocked, but didn't make a big deal out of it.
Vernon sighed, "We..."
He stopped, and I turned my eyes to him quickly, watching him as he choked and broke down in tears. I rushed over, catching him in my arms just barely enough to keep him on his feet.
