"I'm sorry about your brother." Jeonghan mumbled, checking around a corner to check for the undead.

"I'm sorry about your parents."

"I'm sorry my parents killed your brother." He added.

"I'm sorry they had to experience eating my brother."

He stayed silent as I continued scoping out our area. We had seen that the highway out of Seoul was clogged with cars beeping and wrecking into each other to escape. It was getting dark by the time we reached our first stop.

We had collected a plan. Although Yoongi told us to get out of the city, we were heading directly into it before leaving. We wanted to collect some supplies, so we decided to check the mall, then some stores around it, and then Walmart.

I had assumed anyone with common sense would've raided before heading out, but it seemed everyone just wanted to escape the heart of the disease rather than increasing their survival chances with helpful items.

We walked into the mall parking lot, deciding to stick together for the search so we didn't get attacked alone and die. After the walk here, we had killed a few of the rotting things, we picked up some skill.

We entered the mall, checking around the entrance before walking in fully. The place seemed completely empty, other than a few rotters that obviously didn't escape whatever attacked the mall. We decided to head for the more expensive stores, our goal being some large jackets and coats for the future. After all, it was September 24th, so there wouldn't be much time before it began freezing at night time. Along the walk, we discussed what else we'd need, and realized there really wasn't too much in our mall that could help. Walmart would mostly be where to collect things.

"Let's just go to Old Navy and get some coats and stuff

"Let's just go to Old Navy and get some coats and stuff." Jeonghan decided.

We got into the Old Navy without any run-ins, and searched around for the thick coats we desired. Jeonghan shouted from across the store that he found what we came for.

"Just grab a bunch." He said.

"Why?"

"For extra survivors if we find anyone who didn't instantly get stuck in that battlefield on the highway. Plus, that's just extra in case we need. I'll go get duffel bags."

He headed to a different section of the store while I pulled off a few jackets. There were 5 that I grabbed, all in different sizes that would fit either Jeonghan or me. When he returned, he helped to stuff the coats in one of the 4 duffel bags.

We decided to leave. There was nothing to take. We just had to get going out of town before the siren shut down.

We exited through a small exit near the back of the store, only to be shocked by what we saw. A short-haired girl stop on top of a flipped transport truck, a knife in hand as she swung to kill the rotters surrounding her. There weren't many left.
