October 5th, 2016. A day to remember forever.
YUNMI'S POV
The truck hit a large bump, and I flew up in my seat. My stomach felt sick, but I highly doubted it was the car ride that made me feel that way.
Wonwoo was driving our truck. In the passenger seat was Vernon. Joshua sat on my right, and Seungcheol was on my left by force. He didn't seem pleased by having to be so close to me.
Yes, I tried multiple times to figure out what his issue was, but he just continuously told me the same things:
"You were an idiot, hiding in a convenience store. What kind of idiot would try to run away? That just makes you more threatening."
"I panicked. I told you that." I always replied.
"You're so stupid. You act like you have the skills to survive, but you don't."
By that point in every attempt to get through his thick skull, I gave up and walked away. He also thought I was a coward.
I hadn't tried talking to him in a few days. I mean, right now wasn't a good time, but soon, I had to.
Right now, in the backseat of the truck, we were touching ever so slightly. There was a bag on the ground at Seungcheol's feet, forcing his leg to be pushed off to the side a bit. I actually tried to make my leg touch his just a little more than it necessarily had to, because you know, when you like someone, you crave contact. I sure did.
Seungcheol stared out the window, trying to make the ride as least awkward as possible. It didn't work all that well.
"So, everyone good?" Vernon asked, looking through the mirror at us.
"I feel a little sick. I'm kind of worried." I admitted, already aware Seungcheol would roll his eyes and scoff.
And that he did.
"Of course." He muttered.
Vernon and I shared a knowing glance. He was well aware that I liked Seungcheol. Since the day we practiced shooting and I made Seungcheol teach me to reload the gun, Vernon's been looking at the two of us with a teasing gaze, but only when Seungcheol's back was turned.
I felt a pair of eyes on me. I saw Joshua was looking out the window, and Vernon was also looking forward. Wonwoo was driving, so I mentally assumed Seungcheol had glared at me momentarily. I turned my head to the side, pretending to look out the window, and saw Seungcheol avert his eyes to the back of Wonwoo's seat quickly.
"The radio doesn't work, I'm assuming." Joshua sighed.
Vernon twisted a knob on the radio, but static was the only response. We all groaned at once.
Again, I felt a pair of eyes on me, but I didn't even need to confirm that it was Seungcheol. This time, Vernon looked at us through the mirror, and instantly spoke.
"You two really have a weird relationship." He said, raising an eyebrow, "Seungcheol why are you so hateful with Yunmi around?"
"Not this shit again." He grumbled, "I'd prefer not to get into an argument today. Enough fighting happened."
"I think we'd all feel a little more comfortable if you two sorted your issues." Vernon recommended.
"We will, next time we're out of the car." I assured, though I wasn't exactly positive the opportunity would come anytime soon.
"You better." He sternly said, then laughed, "I'll open a can of whoop ass of you don't."
