Today was October 7th. I considered today our first full day as a group at the motel. It was already beginning to feel like a home to me, but I'd never forget our time at the farm. Memories of riding the horses or the drunk members at dinner always came to mind, even in the most random of times.
It was probably 9 am, and we were all up, dressed and eating breakfast. It was pancakes, and we all drank the stale Kool-Aid that was once in Vernon's fridge. While most of us ate, a few went into the main office, where the keys and such were located, and tried to see if we could get the vending machine opened. I decided to join them out of pure curiosity of what items were in the vending machine.

Jun tried pulling the case open, but that didn't work. The vending machine was plugged in, but the screen showing inserted money stats was black. We couldn't purchase anything, and we couldn't open it without a key, so we had one option.
"Guys, may I smash the glass of this wonderful vending machine for the sake of humanity?" DK asked, pulling his gun out of his belt.
"The sake of humanity has nothing to do with it. Just break the glass." Jun replied.
The few of us that came along now stood as far from DK as we possibly could. Hoshi stood in front of me, as if shielding me from any glass that was sure to fly. I didn't like that, because that clearly meant he could get hit by it, but I couldn't stop him either.
DK held his gun up in front of him, ready to smash the glass. He counted loudly, "Three, two, one!"
The he smashed the glass. It took a couple hits to fully break it open, but he succeeded to. Once he gave us the OK, we all came forward, viewing the end product.
"Alright, you guys can start carrying some back," Vernon said, "DK and I will work on the soda machine."
"How are you gonna smash that open?" Jun questioned, curious.
"We're picking the lock on it," DK answered. "It'll probably take a little bit of time, so you can start carrying stuff back to the group."
We followed his plan and began filling boxes from the back room, throwing various junk foods into them. The process of removing them from the wire was tedious, but in the end, it took about 6 boxes, and the soda took like 8 more. It felt like it took an eternity, truthfully.
As we returned to the group with the new supplies, we got to eat our own breakfasts. I also just ate pancakes, but I got to drank flat Mountain Dew. I sat at the fire, eating in silence, when Soyeon asked.
"So... the pool." She mumbled, "What're we gonna do with that?"
At the mention of the pool, Mingyu perked up, "Oh, I used to have a pool!"
"So you can clean it?" Minghao asked, "Because it hasn't been that cold, and it's warm enough to swim today."
