I barely grasped the situation as the siren stopped. Our distraction was gone.
The five of us started yelling in at the boy, practically begging to get,in to safety. He stayed strong, refusing to let us in his safe haven.
"I say we give up and just get out before it's too late." Jeonghan suggested. "Jackass Shortie in there isn't budging."
I glanced at the guy. He probably didn't realize, when the rotters made their way to Walmart, they likely would be able to take down the door. It wasn't made of steel. I could break that door alone, so an ass ton of dead bodies could likely do it as well.
As I contemplated our options, I was tugged into a warmer space by Jeonghan. I quickly realized that the boy let us into Walmart finally.
"What changed your mind?" Chaeji snarled, clearly angry that he could've just let us die.
He coldly replied to her, "I didn't feel like having your deaths on my conscience."
Being next to him, the resemblance to Yoongi was overwhelming. They didn't seem so similar that they were related, but it was just freaky in my eyes.
"Are you alone?" Chaeji asked the boy. "Is there anyone else in the store?"
He sassily replied, "Do you really think they'd send me to guard the door if there were others?"
He really wasn't an intimidating boy. I was taller than him myself. Not by much, but there was a bit of a height difference.
"So, you're just gonna hide in Walmart until this whole thing ends?" I raised an eyebrow, "Is that your plan?"
"To be honest, I didn't come up with a plan." He paused, before adding, "I'm Jihoon."
"Then you should join us." Seokmin cheered, "The more, the merrier!"
Jihoon pointed at Seokmin whilst speaking to me, "I don't like this guy."
Chaeji snorted, "Same."
Seokmin pouted like he had done earlier while complaining about being hungry, then walked off into Walmart, likely in pursuit of supplies or food, or both.
"So," Jihoon caught our attention, "What's your big plan?"
"We're getting supplies and getting the Hell out of Seoul." Jeonghan informed. "The city is really a bad placement for safety."
Jihoon seemed to be contemplating. He tapped his finger on his chin in a rather cliché way, basically signaling me that he already decided and was just stalling.
"I'm in." He finally said, "There's plenty of guns in the back, with hunting stuff and camouflage. Then of course, the aisles are full of food. And then there's the bookbags that we can fill."
"And then we can steal a car and get out of here." Jeonghan finished the idea. "We're clearly geniuses."
I decided not to comment on how 'genius' Seokmin was, and started toward the bookbag section. There were so many bags to fill with aisles and aisles of food. Plus, there was protection and weapons, along with clothes.
