CHAPTER 29
"Peeta!" I shout making my way through the hospital. "Peeta!"
When I make it to his room he isn't there. "No!" I cry. "No no no no no!"
I run out of his room to find a hospital attendent. "Excuse me! Do you know where Peeta Mellarks room is?" I ask.
"I'm sorry who?" she asks. "We don't have anyone here by the name of Peeta Mellark dear."
"Yes you do. I was here less then an hour ago. He was in room 314 now he's not. He had Doctor Isaac." I explain.
"We don't have anyone in the staff with the name Issac. Are you feeling okay? Do you need to sit down?" she puts her hand on my shoulder leading me to a chair.
"No! No! Get your hands off me!" I shout pushing her away. "Where's Peeta! Where is he!" I cry.
"Please calm down." she asks.
"No! I will not calm down until I know that Peeta is okay!" I shout. I run out it the hospital and back to my house.
I run in and practically slam into Gale. "Gale! Peeta isn't there!" I cry. Then I start to make those awful choking sounds but I was to heart broken to care. "He wasn't there." I cry wrapping my arms around Gale, holding on to him tightly.
"Katniss, what are you talking about? Peetas upstairs." Gale says.
I stop crying and look up at him. "What? He's upstairs?" I ask.
"Yes, in your bedroom." he says. "Go take a look.
I walk up the stairs and pray that Gales words are true. I open the door and find Peeta asleep in our bed. I let out a huge sigh of relief and almost fall to the ground in tears. He opens his eyes and looks at me. Once he adjusts his vision and realizes I'm having a breakdown he quickly gets out of bed and rushes to my side.
"Katniss! What's wrong?" he asks.
"Oh my god, Peeta." I practically dig my fingers into his back holding on to him for dear life. "You weren't there and the girl said you were never there and... and..."
"Katniss, what are you talking about?" he asks looking into my eyes.
"You were in the hospital." I say.
"No I wasn't." he says.
"What, yes you were. You went mad then you went to the Capitol and then you came back here to the twelve hospital and they made you watch clips because you didn't believe I loved you, but I do. Peeta I love you so much don't ever leave me." I cry throwing my arms around his neck.
"It's okay I'm right here. I love you too." he whispers into my ear. He picks me up and lays me down in bed and wraps his arms around me pulling me into him as I rest my head on his arm, drifting away.
