The next day, I see him again in the metro.

"Hey," he says.

"Hi."

"Ugh, don't you just hate that?" he asks pointing to a couple who were so engrossed with themselves; they probably even forgot that they were in public.

"I hate that too but I heard that guys who are single seemed to get more annoyed with these kinds of activities compared to those in a relationship."

He starts to laugh.

"Is this your way of asking me if I'm single?" he winks.

"Huh? No, I think you misunderstood," I say feeling embarrassed.

"Relax! I was just teasing you and that's not completely true, even if I was in a relationship, I wouldn't behave the same way."

"That's what they all say."

"Sounds like you've got a lot of experience." he says with a smirk on his face.

"Just because I know things it doesn't mean that," I say feeling annoyed.

"Relax, I was just kidding. You seem to get annoyed easily."

"No, I don't!" I protest.

"Do you ever agree?"

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"

"Relax. It's your stop."

"Fine," I say and I start to leave.

"Won't you say good bye?" he asks raising an eyebrow with a smile on his face.

I turn back, shaking my head and I could see a smirk forming on his face. I turn around, smile and head home.

It started to become a daily routine, we'd meet each other in the metro and we'd end up having an amazing conversation. We became good friends. It was all going fine until one day.

He walks over to my desk in the office.

"Hey," he says.

I look up at him in confusion and that's when it starts to sink in.

He is the "cute guy" that my friend had mentioned. I never really knew the guys in my office. There were just a few whom I'd talk to. I never noticed the others. Thus, even if I met them one of them outside, I wouldn't know. With him being the new guy, I didn't have a clue.

He pulls a chair and sits beside me; he takes a look at my work and starts to make some changes.

I hate it when people make changes, I don't know why. I know they're trying to just help me but I just never really liked it.

The air fills with silence, I break off the silence.

"You're the 'cute guy' everyone has been talking about eh?"

"So, you think I'm cute eh?" he winks.

"No, that's why I'm asking you, I thought they said that the guy who joined was cute," I say teasing him.

"Ouch. Anyway there you go it's done," he says flashing a smile and leaves.

This repeated at least twice a week, I didn't seem to mind which took me by surprise cause as I told you, I never liked it. Now I actually started liking it, it felt good to have company.

I was changing! That wasn't the only thing but there were two other things too.

I'd always order food from places I preferred and I never bothered trying anything new but when he told me he knew this amazing place to order from, I let him order and I actually tried them all. I didn't seem to mind which was huge to me because I was one of those picky eaters, no matter how much they forced me I'd always stick to just certain dishes.

The other thing was that I hated being disrupted while reading, I'd always tell them I want to read if anyone disrupted, I know that sounds rude but I loved reading. Now all we do is talk whenever we meet in the metro, even if he does come by while I am reading.

That's when I started to realize that I caught feelings for him. I knew my life was going to change here after, I just didn't know how much it was going to change.
