The next day I get up a little early to look my best. I throw on my black skinny jeans, a white ruffled top, black leather jacket and a black and white striped scarf along with ankle boots. I let my hair loose. I apply eyeliner and a dash of light pink lip gloss. It's a good thing that we could wear whatever we wanted to work.
I started to head to work early. I reach my office and start to work.
"Hey, could I borrow your stapler?" he asks as he goes through the files in his hand without a glance.
"Here." I say handing over the stapler and that's when he starts to look up to give me a smile.
"Wait a minute. There's something different about you today," he says as he walks over to grab a chair.
He looks at me with a smile on his face and says, "You dressed up for me, didn't you?"
"No, I didn't. I just wanted to change my look."
"Right. Anyways, you look pretty. I'll meet you an hour before work gets over so finish up your work early."
Before I could say anything else, he started to walk over to his desk.
An hour before work gets over; he comes over to my desk. That's when I hear someone say, "Jason!" and I immediately look up. He talks with Jackson for a while. Jackson was his best friend; they would always look out for each other. Jackson had black hair and tan skin. From what I've heard, he's a really nice guy but we haven't really talked much so I wouldn't know.
"Jason!" I yell. He turns back immediately, gives me a smile and starts walking towards my desk.
He starts to laugh and says, "You just got to know my name, didn't you?"
I bury my face with my hands.
"I can't believe I never asked you that before."
"It's alright. Now, can I have your number?"
"647..."
"Wait."
He takes out his mobile and starts to save my number.
"Let's go," he says.
"Where?"
"Just come with me."
We both start heading towards the metro. We reach at this amazing place that had the most astonishing view of LA. City of stars never shined so brightly. The ocean depicted the reflection of the buildings so well.
"Wow! This place is amazing," I say.
"Yeah, that's why I wanted to bring you here. Anyways, things have settled between us. "You're mine now," he says with a smirk.
"This is my first relationship and I want us to understand and get to know each other a little more. I know that we've already kissed but let that be the first and last for now. Let's have some rules. No kissing. I don't need to mention anything else because I know you're a decent guy."
He laughs and says, "Trying to be clever?"
"Just stating the fact and you're not upset, are you?"
"I can't say I'm not, I'm bummed but relationships aren't just about physical affection. I don't care about anything as long as you're with me."
"I don't even know if I deserve you."
He pulls me closer and says, "You deserve more than this."
"You're so sweet," I say with a smile "By the way do you hate it if someone touches your hair?"
"Yeah."
"Oh." I sigh
"You're not someone. You need to stop asking me permission."
I immediately start to play around with his hair for about five minutes until he started to hold my hand.
"That's enough for today, let's get going."
"No. I need to ask you something else."
"You can ask me once we head over to the metro."
We both head to the metro.
"Have you had a girlfriend before?"
"Yeah."
"How long were you guys together?"
"Two years."
"Why did you guys break up?"
"She said that her parents come first and she got engaged to the guy her parents found for her."
"I'm sorry to hear that. It must have hurt you a lot."
"As long as you're with me, I'll be fine."
Before I could ask him anything else, my stop came. I got off and headed home with a smile. The wind was blowing my hair in all directions. I looked at the leaves changing colours, birds chirping and a rake of leaves piled at one place. I loved everything about fall.
As soon as I chang into my PJ's I notice a message from Jason.
"Jason here.This is my number:)"
"Saved! :)"
"Is that all you've got to say? A while ago, you were bombarding me with questions."
"I'll start now. How many girlfriends have you had?"
"Do I look like a player to you?"
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that."
"Lol. Chill. I've just had one girlfriend but a crush on a lot of ones. You must have had a crush on someone too, so tell me about it."
"I'll tell you about it later, it's getting late now. I don't text guys late at night :P"
"Remind me how I got involved with a girl who has so many rules."
"There's no going back. You're stuck with me now XD."
"You're going to break all the rules, one by one. Just watch ;)"
"We'll see. Good night! :D"
I switch off my Wi-Fi and drift off to sleep.
