Just as I'm about to leave to work, my phone rings.
"I'm waiting for you outside," Jason says.
"We can't do this on a daily basis, if I get caught I'm screwed."
"We'll think about that later, just come out now."
I start to head outside and notice his car a few feet away from my place.
"Let's go out again in the evening," Jason says.
"If I continue to go home late, my parents may start to doubt me. I've already broken their trust."
"You need to chill. Stop worrying so much about everything. I'm always going to be there for you no matter what."
"You're so sweet.."
He holds my hand and says, "You're not going to go through anything alone, we'll handle it together."
I give him a smile.
We both start to head over to our desk. I start to work enthusiastically probably because of the way my life was heading. Everything seemed to be perfect. I know that life doesn't always stay the same but sometimes you've got to live in the moment.
I get so caught up with work that I don't notice the time until I hear Jason's voice.
"Don't stress yourself out alot, you can continue it tommorrow. Let's leave now."
I start to pack my things and we both head to the same place where we made up.
"This is you favourite spot in the city, isn't it?" I ask.
"Yeah. Once you look at the view here, you forget all your worries and realize how beautiful life is. We just end up wasting our time by worrying about things."
"Sometimes, you sound like a philosophical person like you've got a lot of experience."
He turns to face me and starts to move closer.
"Yeah. You could say that."
"So did Kat call you?" I ask trying to avoid the situation.
"Yeah. We're going out tommorrow."
"What?"
"She's feeling lonely, I should be there for her."
"There are alot of other guys who would be there for her," I say feeling annoyed.
He starts to laugh and says, "Relax. You'd believe whatever I say eh? I'm impressed."
I start to punch him in his chest and say, "I hate you so much."
He holds my fist and says, "Why do you keep doing that?"
"Don't talk to me. I hate you so-" and before I could finish, he places his hand over my mouth.
"If you don't stop talking, I'll kiss you."
I remove his hand and say, "You can't do that, we had rules."
He laughs and says, "The only reason you made those rules was because you were scared that you might give in if I tried and the only way to avoid that was by making me not try anything."
"That's not true."
Was that the reason why I had those rules instead of just avoiding the situation?"Just agree that you don't have self control when I'm around you."
"Oh yeah! We'll see, it's a bet."
He immediately starts to move closer and I just stand still as my heartbeat starts to become rapid. Once there was just a slight gap between our faces, I start to close my eyes. That's when I feel his lips on my neck. He kisses me on my neck.
Only once he starts laughing, I open my eyes.
Just great. I gave in so soon.
"Can I ask you something? It's embarassing though." I say feeling a little shy.
"You know you can ask me anything without feeling embarassed."
"What's a hickey? I've read about it in novels but I never-" and before I could finish he sucks on my neck.
With a smirk on his face he says, "That's a hickey."
"You could have just told me."
"You wouldn't have understood but now you'll never forget." He winks.
He moves in closer again and says, "Now about the bet. What do I get for winning?"
I wrap my arms around his neck and move in closer.
"It was just a bet, we never had a deal," I whisper.
Just when I try to pull back, he holds me by my waist and rests his forehead on mine. We both intently look into each other's eyes.
"I don't want you to leave. I hate Fridays, I won't be able to see you for another two days," says Jason.
"Don't worry, we can facetime." I say trying to cheer him up.
"Right," he mumbles.
"I really wish we could meet during weekends but you know how the circumstances are, I barely get permission to go out," I say feeling ashamed.
He nods and we both start heading towards his car.
"You know I kind of miss the metro," says Jason.
"Already? We could start going in the metro again, I won't get caught either."
"You just need one reason to go back, don't you? The only reason I miss it is because I can't pull you towards me."
I shake my head and say, "And I thought you were serious."
"I am."
I give him a glare and that's when a smirk starts to form on his face.
