Before you start this chapter there are a few things I need to say. First I've updated the last chapter, because I forgot to write a part so I've edited it. So if you have already read the last chapter go read a small part at the end. Second, I found out I've written 'fairy dust' while it is pixie dust, but I'll edit that later. Thank you for reading and enjoy!
You won't find faith or hope down a telescope, you won't find heart and soul in the stars. You can break everything down to the chemicals, but you can't explain a love like ours.
- The Script
The next day everyone is thrilled that the dust finally works and most of them want to go to my world immediately. Tinkerbell and I have to remind them that Pan is a threat and that he needs to be taken down.
‘But why? If we get off this stupid island then we get rid of him too right?’ Hook’s stupid sidekick Hawk asks clearly irritated.
‘He can come after us.’ Tinkerbell says who gets irritated as well.
‘No, he can come after her.’ Hawk says pointing at me and I feel bad. It is true. The only reason we made a plan to take Pan out is because he couldn’t come after me when we got back. But now that we have a way to get back, it’s clear they want to drop the plan. Or at least Hawk and a few others want to.
‘Hey, she is your way off the island. You can do something in return.’ Tinkerbell says and she turns away from Hawk, like she wants to say: we’re done talking.
‘Plus I promised I would help.’ Hook says and our eyes catch each other just for a second before we both look away.
‘So, why does that matter?’ Hawk crosses his arms and I’m wondering if I should be cautious for him.
‘Because Captain Hook always keeps his word.’
This time I look up and I look into his eyes, but this time I don’t look away. I knew he wouldn’t break his promise.
‘Well, I don’t care about the promises you made.’ Hawk says stepping toward Hook. Seems the sidekick got a voice now. I considering to remind my dear friend that he has lost from a girl and that it can easily can happen again. I decide I can better not. Hook can handle this on his own and besides, I’m done with him.
‘You better do care, because I don’t mind leaving you here while we sail off, mate.’ Hook threatens and I have to suppress a smile. I love it when he talks like that.
No, don’t. You’re over him remember.
I bite my lip, but I think Hook has already seen my little smile.
Hawk keeps staring at Hook for a few seconds, but then his entire attitude changes and he is back to his sidekick act. But if he has more of these mood swings from time to time I better watch him. I make a mental note for myself. Stay away from Hawk.
‘Fine.’
‘Good.’
Hawk walks over to another crew member, one I keep forgetting the name of and who hasn’t said a word to me since I’m here. Most of the man are pretty nice, when they are not trying to impress each other, but those two, they don’t seem to like me. I don’t know how long they’ve been around, but maybe they were already here when Milah died. Maybe that has something to do with it. They keep throwing looks into my direction and I’m getting uncomfortable.
Mental note: stay away from both of them.
Tinkerbell, Hook and Smee walk over to me. They are the only once who are sure about they plan. The others, they like me except Hawk and his buddy, but they are not so sure about taking down Pan. I can’t really blame them. I won’t ask them to help me. But I have to do it otherwise he will come after me, afraid I will come back –which I will never- and he will kill me. I do know I can trust Hook, Tinkerbell and Smee and maybe some of the others.
