Dedicated to Sweetylover123 for giving me the idea for the end of the story :) Can't believe I didn't think of it myself hehehe... Anyway thanks!
Through the door, step inside. If pure of heart, then she won't hide.
- Rumplestiltskin
I’m pacing down the living room, Hook’s eyes following my every move while he sits on the couch. I bite my lip and pick up my pace as I keep stealing glances at the door.
‘How can you be so relaxed like nothing is about to happen?’ I ask as I turn around for the millionth time the last hour and start to walk back.
‘Well your father isn’t gonna like me anyway, so there is nothing to worry about my love.’ Hook answers as he finally has enough of my nervousness and stands up to pull my in an embrace. I sigh and breath in his scent, salt of the years on sea mixed with mint and I kind of relax as he holds me against his chest.
I had sent everyone away after my dad had called he would come over today so Hook and I would have the house alone. Its been four days since Hook showed up on my doorstep and I think it is time to tell my dad, though I have no idea how.
‘It’s gonna be okay.’ Hook breaths into my hair and for one second I believe him. Hook could make me believe anything and I’m not sure that is a good thing.
No, no second thoughts now.
I love Hook. I wanna be with him and my dad should know. I only wonder if he is gonna kill Hook first or me.
‘Okay, Killian, don’t forget how we met and tell my dad how sorry you are for leaving me and stuff.’ I say for the tenth time today and he takes my face between his hand and hook and forces me to look him in the eyes.
‘Carrie, I know. Its gonna be fine.’ He says again, but then the door bell rings and I jump and tense all of a sudden.
‘Wait here. I need to prepare my dad first.’ I say and Hook nods then beckons me to open the door. I take one last breath and then close the door to the living room so I have some time to talk to dad and open the frond door. I suddenly feel so small and weak without Hook standing by my side, but this is something I have to do alone.
‘Hey dad.’ I say and I see my father’s green eyes lit up when he sees me and I feel a flash of guild going through me. I’ve caused him so much trouble and I’m about to give him some more.
‘Hey sweetheart, how you’re going?’ he asks as he walks through the door and then taking his coat off.
‘I’m fine.’ I correct myself as I remember Hook waiting in the other room for me. ‘Great actually.’ He looks at me suspicious, knowing I wasn’t so great the last time he saw me and I gulp.
This is going to be bad…
‘That’s good.’ He says, making his way to the living room, but I beat him to it and block his way, which makes him look even more suspicious.
‘Dad, I need to talk to you.’ I say and he crosses his arms, stealing glances at the door as if he knows what I’m about to say.
‘Okay.’ He answers waiting for me to continue.
‘Something… happened since the last time you were here.’ Which was four days ago, may I add, the day Hook came to pay me a visit. I look away and bite my lip –a bad habit of me- not knowing how to break the news to him. My heart pounds in my chest and I have trouble talking.
‘I- well you… I…’ I take a breath and I decide there is no way he will take this news lightly, no matter how I tell him and I just get out with it.
