Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.

-Roald Dahl

Think fast.

What should I do? Going to the beach would be stupid. Not only it’s an open territory, but it is also the only place I know. So that means I have to go some were I don’t know. Well that isn’t hard, ‘cause I don’t know anything about this bloody island.

My lungs are burning, my legs feel numb and I hear the lost boys footsteps coming closer every second. I can never out run them.

There has to be an other way.

To bad my lungs hurt so bad that I can’t think clearly.

I don’t know. I don’t know!

Wait, I do know.

Rule number one: believe.

I just have to believe I will survive this, that I can get away from those boys. But that isn’t so easy as it sounds. Not when you feel like dying trying to catch your breath. Plus when you’re running from someone who wants you death. So…

The path takes a turn, concealing me from the lost boys view for a few seconds.

I take one deep breath, ignoring the pain and I try to focus on believing.

Then out of nowhere something grabbed me by my wrist, yanks my behind a few trees and pulls me down on my knees to keep us out of sight. I can’t see the person who is holding me, I just feel an arm around me and a hand covering my mouth to keep me from screaming. I try to resist the arms, but they are to strong for me and somehow, the heartbeat I feel against my back is steadying me. I know it sounds weird, but it does.

I hear the footsteps coming closer, just a few feet away from the place where I’m crushed on the ground, my back against someone I don’t know and can’t see.

Then the person puts its mouth close to my ear.

‘Stay still.’ A males voice whispers and I obey. The small rush of fear that went through me when he grabbed me fades and I hear the footsteps getting further away from us until they are gone. I’m able to start breathing again and the man releases me. I spin around on the ball of my feet to see who saved me from Peter Pan.

A dark-haired man, dressed entirely in black, is standing next to the tree we just hide behind. His bright blue eyes inspect me, like he wants to know who he saved. We look at each other eyes wide for a few moments.

‘Who are you?’ I’m able to ask after quiet some time.

‘I’m Killian Jones.’ He says, taking a careful step forward. ‘But you can call me Hook.’ I’m about to ask why I should call him Hook, when I notice something metal in his hand. No not in his hand.

It is his hand.

Killian has a hook as hand.

My head is spinning right now. It took me a day to deal with the fact I’m on Neverland and that Peter Pan is hunting me. I can’t deal with more of this crazy stuff.

‘As in Captain Hook?’ I ask with a cracking voice. Tell me he is just playing with me, please…

‘Good, you’ve heard of me. It is always nice to be known.’ he says smiling and that is all the answer I need.

‘You’ve got to be kidding me. It’s like I’m in the frigging movie!’ I say frustrated, turning away from him.

‘Wait, what’s a movie?’ He has this kind of accent I can’t place, but somehow I like it.
