The rain cascaded down, plastering my hair to my head, my clothes sticking to my body. At least the blood would wash away. God… why?
I huddled against the brick wall some more; trying to hide myself in the shadows. I looked out of the alley where the lamppost illuminated a small section of the street with a yellow glow. Bringing my knees up I rested my head on them and stared out. Maybe this was all just a dream and if I stared for a while I would get lost…
Suddenly a figure appeared under the light. Freaking out for a second, I then calmed down when I realized it was just a young boy, drenched as I was. He paused under the light and then his head turned to me, his hair covering his eyes, most likely from the rain. He took a cautious step towards me and I fidgeted more in to the corner…
“Scarlet! Get up! You’re going to be late.”
I bolted up from my sleep and looked around wildly. Taking deep breaths I calmed down and realized I was in my bed and it was Monday morning.
“It was just a dream. It was just a dream,” I mumbled as I got up to find clothes for the day. My fist tightened around the shirt I picked up and I clenched my eyes shut. “It was just a fricken dream.”
After I finished dressing I paused, who was that boy? I thought about it for a second but then shook my head quickly. I don’t want to think about that.
I came downstairs and saw my mom in the kitchen. “Good morning honey. Did you sleep well?”
I avoided her eyes and opened the fridge searching for food, “Uhuh.”
When I turned around she was looking at me with eyes I couldn’t quite read and then she engulfed me in a hug. “Scarlet…” she whispered.
I pulled away, “I’m going to be late for school,” and then I rushed out the front door.
~*~*~*
When I got into school I headed straight for my locker, the dream slowly slipping from my mind. I passed by the normal groups of people and up the stairs. Opening the door I noticed Lukas and his friends in a group talking. The boy in my dream flashed for a moment but disappeared quickly. Weird…
I dialed my combination and threw in my bag when I noticed someone walk up to me. Turning I came face to face with Lukas, his hair covering his face more than usual.
“Uh, hi,” I greeted.
“Hi. Um, I wanted to apologize for how things turned out on Friday. That was pretty weird,” he offered with a small smile.
I chuckled a little, “Its fine, I suppose. Everyone was acting pretty crazy.”
He nodded and then Alice came bounding up, “Hey Scarlet! Oh… Hi Deevy.”
I laughed and Lukas looked at her confused, “What did you call me?”
She giggled, “Deevy.”
If his hair wasn’t covering so much of his eyes I’m sure I could see his eyebrows scrunch together in confusion. “What-I-wh… Well that’s a new one.” We all laughed together and then he gave a shrug and a wave and walked back towards his friends.

A/N- Well, I've finally came up with a plot for this story. Sorry to say it probably won't be as happy and random as it has been before. I just can't write something like that and expect it to go on and on for chapters. There needs to be some kind of situation that's interesting. But that's just me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. >w<
Oh, and remember how in an eariler chapter this story was sort of based off my life? Yeah, not anymore with the direction this story is going.
