**Scarlet's P.O.V.**
After Lukas dragged Mark into the hallway, which the teacher didn't notice by the way, I turned to Dakota. "Do they normally fight like that?"
Dakota looks around awkwardly, like he really wished he wasn't in this situation, "Sometimes, yeah. If you haven't noticed already, Lukas doesn't like it when people bring up his family."
I nodded and went back to drawing, "He's got a lot of issues, huh?"
Dakota coughed suddenly like he was choking and when I looked up at him he smiled and fake laughed. I raised an eyebrow at him, "You okay?"
He started nodding quickly then looked at the door, "Hey! Mark's back," and then he mumbled under his breath, "Thank God..." I pretended I didn't hear the last part.
But Mark looked pretty upset and I noticed Lukas wasn't behind him. Mark sat down at the table and sighed. He looked up at Dakota and they exchanged a knowing look and I decided it would be best that I didn't ask where Lukas went.

After the boy left I peeled off my soaked shirt and pointed my back towards the mirror. It was so bloody... I cringed and tried to not start crying. After struggling for a while I managed to wrap gauze around my torso. Sighing, I put on my damp shirt and opened the door to find the boy standing there with sweat pants and a hoodie in his arms.
"Um," he began, holding the clothes out, "I figured you would want some dry clothes."
"Scarlet, dinner's ready!"
I gasped and sat up straight, realizing I had fallen asleep on the couch in the living room. My dad walked into the room with a questioning look. I hadn't seen him in a while because he was on a business trip, but now he was back.
He chuckled a little at me, "Oh, I didn't realize you were asleep."
I rolled my eyes and stood up, "School tires you out, you know?"
He nodded at me, looking amused, and we walked into the kitchen where mom was placing the food on the table. We all ate while dad told us about his trip. It was a nice calm family dinner, which I appreciated after how weird my life has been.
At least I found out a bit more to that forgotten night. Perhaps I really should talk to him about it, but he does seem to have a lot of his own problems going on.
"Scarlet? Are you alright? You seem distracted," I looked up at dad, with his bright blue eyes, who was looking me curiously.
Mom sighed and ran a hand down the back of my head, "She's been like that a lot lately. Is there something going on that you're not telling us about?"
I shook my head and moved my food around on my plate.
"Nothing going on with Alice or Trinity?" mom pressed.
I shrugged, "Alice has been acting pretty weird lately."
"How so?" dad asked.
"Well she doesn't like the fact that I've been talking to this new group of people. She says they're bad people, but from what I can tell they're not."
"Who are these people?" dad asks, taking on a protective tone.
I chuckle, "Just some guys, they're pretty entertaining." I probably shouldn't tell them about Lukas...
"Well, honey, Alice probably doesn't like the idea of you moving on to new friends," Mom says.
"I'm not gonna ditch her though."
