Living Out A Prophecy

Chapter 5

     Nao was disappointed the next day to find out that Daichi and Futoshi weren't back yet. She got dressed in a pair of white pants that billowed out around her ankles, a pair of traditional sandals, and a white shirt that had sleeves like the pants on her dress.

     Sasuke helped her and put her hair up in her normal half ponytail with a small twist. He put a white cherry blossom clip in her hair to keep it back instead of her usual red ribbon. Nao then made breakfast and packed bentos for herself and Sasuke; she started her training at the hospital today.

     Sasuke held the bentos in his hand as he and Nao walked down the street to the academy, her hand in his other. He got many stares and had to hide a smirk when he saw a certain pinkette and blonde with their mouths agape seeing Nao behind him holding his hand.

     She seemed to not notice anything as she smiled at everyone and watched the day unfold.

     Soon enough they were at the academy. Nao walked in behind Sasuke and blushed when everyone looked at her. She hid behind him slightly a little frightened by the amount of people in the room.

     "Hey Nao," a tired sounding voice stated.

     Nao looked up to see a hand raised lazily in the air and smiled. He got up from his seat and walked up the aisle to her.

     "Hi Shikamaru-san," Nao said politely with a bright smile.

     Shikamaru nodded with a small smile of his own. Sasuke greeted him with a nod of his head and went to sit by the window as Shikamaru and Nao talked. It was then Nao was pushed out of the way and fell on the floor.

     "I was here first!" Two shrill voices yelled simultaneously. They didn't even notice Nao on the floor because of their arguing. Shikamaru helped her up.

     "Geez, so troublesome..." he muttered as he helped her up.

     Nao blinked away the tears in her eyes and looked to where the girls were now gathered. She saw Naruto on the ground where the pink haired girl had pushed him and she helped him up. Shikamaru just stared and watched her, curious as to what was going to happen.

     "Are you all right Naruto-san?" Nao asked softly.

     Naruto smiled and nodded, his eyes shutting almost entirely from the large grin on his face. He then looked over at Sasuke and glared. She noticed Sasuke looked annoyed and she moved around the horde of girls. Sasuke motioned for her to come and stand beside him and she took his hand in her own. When she did all talk in the room stopped.

     Nao looked at Sasuke then up at the girls that were on the other side of him. She looked around the room wondering what was wrong but shrugged zoning everything out as she looked out the window.

     Nao snapped out of it though when she heard girls yelling loudly. She turned around and burst out laughing at the sight. A kid bumped Naruto and he fell into Sasuke, their lips touching in a kiss. Nao couldn't stop laughing. Soon enough everything calmed down after the horde of girls beat Naruto and the pinkette sat down between Naruto and Sasuke and in front of the blonde girl.

     Nao got tired of standing so she sat down beside Sasuke. Sasuke sighed and she looked up at him. He patted his seat next to him where he moved a bit so she could sit with him. She smiled softly and sat down much to the pinkette's displeasure and the sensei, Iruka, walked in and to the front of the room.

     He happened to look up while he was talking and saw Nao beside Sasuke. He smiled and put a hand on his hip as he looked up at her.

     "So she is here today to see the teams, huh?" Iruka asked.
