"Aria" Ezra calls, dropping his suitcase by the front door and running to wrap his arms around Aria.
Her arms hung down, not touching Ezra's body.
"Hey you okay?" He asks and she doesn't respond. "Aria?"
"I'm not okay, Ezra. I don't even know why I stayed here. I should be at the hospital with Spencer but for some reason I came back even though I wasn't sure you'd even be here" Aria tries to hold back the tears between her words. "You didn't even bother to call"
"Ar..." Ezra starts.
"I don't want to hear it" She says, crossing her arms. "I have to go"
She starts collecting her belongings off the floor and went in pursuit for the door.
"But you know what Ezra? I also want to hear it. I want to hear all of it! I want to know why you did it. I want to know why you risked everything we had for her! Do you even love me?" Aria slung her purse over her shoulder, placing her hand on the door and closing her eyes. The silence of Ezra had taken over her. He didn't love her. He loved Nicole. She was a fool to ever think there was a happy ending for them. Once she caught her breath, she swung open the door and started walking out. "Everyone was right, Ezra. I guess we weren't meant to be, but I never thought it would be you that caused the end of us"
She slowly starts to close the door, waiting to hear him call her name one last time. She had to hear it.
"Aria, it was always you" He calls which echoes from the inside of the apartment and into her heart.
She pushes the door into the apartment and stares at him. His blue eyes were shining like they always had. The eyes that only seemed to shine for her. She wondered if they shined for Nicole.
"Say it again" Aria commands.
"Aria, it was always you" He says, again as she runs into his arms and cries into his chest. "I promise it was always you and it will always be. I'm the one, remember? And you are definitely mine"
