Aria's POV
I stared over at my fourteen year old daughter, Daisy Rose. She was content siting in the front seat reading a book. I didn't understand how she didn't get car sick but she managed to finish multiple books during long car rides and this had definitely been a long car ride.
"Hey Dais, you okay?" I ask, tightly holding the steering wheel.
"I'm fine, Mom" She replies, turning her page. "How much longer do we have?"
I pulled past the Rosewood welcome sign.
"Looks like we're here" I say as Daisy's eyes glowed with excitement.
I pull along the street, parking my car next to the brew.
"Mom and her friends hung out here a lot" I say, opening the door.
"Did you and dad hang out here?" Daisy questions and I nod my head.
"Your father and I came here a few times"
I motion her inside to the counter where I ordered my usual coffee and Daisy got a hot chocolate. She didn't like coffee very much which surprised me since she had come from a coffee enthusiast.
"Aria" The barista called, holding out our drinks.
Daisy retrieved them and handed me mine. I spun around and bumped into someone, knocking my coffee all over them.
"I am so sorry" I say, crouching down and trying to wipe the coffee off of their shoes.
Wait, I recognized those shoes. I looked up to see a blue eyed beauty looking down at me.
"Ez...Ez... Ezra" I stutter.
I look over at Daisy who couldn't help but stare into his eyes too.
"Hello Aria" He says, holding out his hand and helping me back onto my feet.
"Sorry about your shoes" I say, motioning towards his coffee stained feet.
"That's alright. Their old anyway" He tells me.
"Yeah I know" I blurt out, covering my mouth after I talked.
"Well we should get going, come on Daisy" I say, pulling on her arm.
"Aria wait!" Ezra calls after me but I was persistent on pulling Daisy to the parking lot.
"Mom! What are you doing? That man wants to talk to you" She says, dragging her heels against the floor.
"Yeah and that's why we need to get going" I open the door to the brew and try to get Daisy to exit but she doesn't budge.
"There's only one reason why you wouldn't want to talk to someone as cute as him" Daisy starts. "Were you two a thing?"
"You could call it that, yeah" I say
"How long ago?" Daisy questions and I shake my head.
"Not here, Daisy" I say, checking if Ezra was still looking at us.
"No, I want to know" She demands, using a tone she'd never used around me.
"About fifteen years ago"
"So this handsome blue eyed guy? He's my dad right?" She questions and I can't lie to her any longer.
"Yep that's your dad"
