Ezra's POV
I stood at the counter top, looking over at my wife across the kitchen. The turkey sat in front of me, uncarved. I was too focused on her. She was standing up, mixing the ingredients for the pie. Daisy, our oldest little girl, was sitting on her knees holding the other spatula. She was watching her mom, trying to pick up all the little habits of mixing. She was wearing her favorite footy pajamas, which she insisted on wearing everywhere. Our little baby girl, Lily, was sitting in her booster seat, chewing on one of her teething toys. Aria looked up at Daisy, putting a drop of flour onto Daisy's nose.
"Mommy!" Daisy called, laughing as she did the same to Aria.
I stood back laughing, admiring our beautiful family. Our son jumped up onto the counter next to the turkey.
"I want to help, Dad" He said, picking up the carving tool.
"Not yet, Max. Maybe next year" I tell him, picking up the sharp utensil.
"You said that last year!" He whined, jumping off the counter and running into the living room where our third girl, Molly, was playing with her dollhouse.
"Hey, Moll!" Aria called, looking over at Max and Molly. "Do you wanna help your sisters put the pie into the pan?"
Molly drops her doll and runs over. Her little braid was flipping all over the place as she ran.
"Why does Molly get to help but I can't?" Max whined, laying his back on the ground and started kicking his feet.
"Maxwell Micheal Fitz" Aria started and Max stopped immediately.
I don't know what it was, but the kids listened to Aria way more than me. Maybe it's because they're scared of her. When she gets mad, I know I'm scared.
"You can help but you have to behave" She said, tapping the open counter spot next to Molly.
He jumped off the floor, running towards the counter where he took his place next to his sisters.
"Ezra, I think you should get started" She said, raising her eyebrows and then looking down at the still uncarved turkey.
"Of course, my love" I say as I start.
Soon, the turkey was carved, the potatoes were mashed, the pie was baked, the vegetables were steamed, and the kids were still not ready.
"I want to wear my footy's!" Daisy cried, holding onto the zipper as Aria tried to unzip them.
"But, Mommy and Daddy bought you this pretty dress" Aria says, holding up the sparkly red dress.
"Grandma and Grandpa are going to be here soon and they'll want to see you in your dress" I told her.
She crossed her arms over her chest and sat down.
"Daisy Marie Fitz" Aria said.
Daisy stood back up and let Aria put her dress on.
"You look very pretty, Dais" I say and she twirls around.
"The dress is pretty but I like my pajamas more" She said, as she pulled on her shoes.
As I was straightening my tie, I heard the doorbell ring.
"They're here" Aria called.
I ran after her, down the steps and to the door.
"Kids, come here!"
The kids lined up in back of Aria as she swung the door open.
"Hey!" She pulled her mom into a hug and then her dad.
"How are my favorite grandkids?" Ella asks, as she greeted them with hugs and kisses.
The kids winced as her lipstick stick to their cheeks.
"Ezra!" Ella made her way down the line until she reached me where she stood on her tippy toes and wrapped her arms around me. "It's so good to see you"
I shook Bryon's hand as Aria clapped her hands.
"Okay, time for dinner" She said, leading the kids into the dining room.
She placed the kids into their seats and they squirmed. I helped her bring the bowls to the table and when all the kids were all situated, we started dinner.
"Hey" I whispered to Molly as she played with her mashed potatoes. "Eat your food if you want desert"
Aria reached over and squeezed my hand under the table. I smiled over at her and she smiled back. I couldn't believe that we've been married for 7 years now. It's pretty unbelievable. We had Daisy Marie Fitz, the year we got married. Then we had Maxwell Micheal Fitz. Then came Molly May Fitz, one year after Max. Finally was Lily McKenzie Fitz.
"Okay I know it's not Christmas but Daddy and I have a gift for you guys" Aria said, interrupting my thoughts.
Aria pulled a small present out of the closet and placed it in front of all the anxious kids.
"Okay, Dais. Since you're the oldest you can pull off the wrapping paper and read the card" She tells her.
Daisy starts tearing off the paper. She pulls the card out first, since it was on top. The gift below was hidden underneath tissue paper. She opens the card and scans the words.
"Hi Daisy, Max, Molly and Lily, this is your baby brother or baby sister speaking. I can't wait to meet you on June 27th next year. I know you all will be amazing siblings and I can't wait to join the family" Daisy reads out load and a big smile crosses her face.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, another baby" Aria says, smiling.
Her parents greeted her with hugs and kisses and then went on to me.
"I know it's kind of extreme since we already have a seven year old, a five year old, a four year old and a six month old baby but I want this. We both want this" Aria says, wrapping her arms around me.
"I know Aria, we're so happy for you both" Ella says, smiling over at us.
Max tugged on my leg. "Daddy, this time it better be a boy, I'm sick of having sisters"
