When Aria found out she couldn't conceive a child, she knew she wanted to adopt right away. She had always wanted children whether they were biological or not. She had always dreamed of being a mother. So when Ezra and Aria left on their honeymoon, they were set on speaking with an adoption agency when they returned home, but that's not exactly what life had in store for them.
On that summer morning, Aria and Ezra boarded a plane that was set to fly them to France for three weeks. The weather was on and off all day. There was a light rain fall once or twice but nobody thought anything of it. So when Ezra and Aria were almost at their destination, wrapped in each other's arms, awaiting the arrive of the best three weeks of their lives, the plane captain's voice came across the radio. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you are having an enjoyable and relaxing flight. There has been a slight problem. Other plane captain's have reported the sighting of lightning close to this area so we must land the plane in the closest area which happens to be England. We will set up hotel rooms for everyone until we can continue with our flight. Thank you"
"Ezra" Aria calls, shaking him awake. She was the only one out of the two that was awake to hear the announcement. She had been up thinking. "Our plane is landing. We can't fly all the way to France today"
Ezra's eyes shoot open and immediately smile when he notices Aria was talking. He was so in love with this woman. "Did you say something?"
"Yes, I did" Aria rolls her eyes jokingly at him. "If you had been listening"
Ezra smiles as Aria runs her hands through the little curls that were beginning to form in his hair. "I was sleeping!" He gives her a shocked look.
She giggles and looks out the window as she sees the rain was falling down hard now and hoped they would land soon. "We're landing in England. The plane can't ride in this weather"
"I love England" Ezra says, excitingly.
"You've been to England?" She questions, a small smile forming on the corners of her mouth.
"No, but I know I'll love it and I know you will too. It will be a nice little stop before we get to France" He assures her, sitting up straight and wrapping his arms around his wife.
Aria doesn't even have to look at him to get the chills that he gives her. He was like a special drug. One that she never wanted to stop taking.
The plane finally landed and the couple was shipped off to a local hotel to stay for the night until their flight was ready. Once they were settled, Aria checked the clock.
"It's only 5:00 here" She said, pointing at the alarm clock sitting on the bedside table. "We should go out"
"Or we could do something else" Ezra suggests, giving Aria a smirk and flirting his eyes.
"I love you but you're such a dork" She nudges his chest and laughs.
"At least I'm a lovable dork" Ezra says, grabbing his bag and making his way to the door. "You ready to see the town?"
Soon enough, Ezra and Aria were walking hand in hand down the streets of England.
"Ooh that's a cute little shop" Aria points at a small boutique as they continue to walk.
They weren't really going into the stores and shopping, they were just walking and admiring the shops and loving each others company. As they continued to walk, they got farther and farther out of the streets of shops and restaurants until they reached a large building. They didn't know what it was but being the curious type they decided to check it out. Once they moved closer, they saw a sign. England's Area Orphanage.
"Ezra, this might seem crazy but I feel like this place is calling our name. This place is where we're supposed to adopt our first child" Aria explains and motions towards the building.
Soon enough, Aria and Ezra were sitting at a desk in a small office where they were discussing one thing Aria wanted more then anything. A child.
"So you are married?" The adoption lady asks and Aria nods.
"Aria and Ezra Fitz" She replies, holding Ezra's hand and squeezing it.
"So what do you both do for work? How would you supply for a child?" The women asks and Aria looks over at Ezra.
"Well, we have just recently published a book together and I have already written a book before, Ocasio. And I also own a coffee shop/bookstore." Ezra explains which makes the woman smile.
"So I assume you both really like English, yeah?" She questions and Ezra looks over at Aria and smiles.
"That's kind of how we met" He says, referring to the English class they spent their time in all those years ago.
"So are you interested in a boy or a girl? Does age matter?" The woman questions and they both look at each other.
They had not really talked about a gender, just because they had always planned not having a say in the decision.
"Umm, I guess it doesn't really matter the gender, but we want to adopt a baby" Aria tells her and looks over at Ezra for agreement and he nods.
"Okay, do you want to see the babies?" She asks and Aria almost jumps out of her seat with excitement. "I guess I'll take that as a yes"
They were lead to a room where babies sat in cribs lined against the wall.
"Our newest baby is this little girl. She came in last night. " The women says, picking the small baby out of her crib and bouncing her on her hip.
Aria admired the cute little baby who had blondish/brown hair and bright blue eyes.
"Can I hold her?" Aria asks, her voice shaking as she speaks and soon enough the baby was placed in her arms.
She looked back at Ezra who was smiling ear to ear. "Hi baby" He cooes as the baby giggles and Aria laughs. Aria felt a sudden connection to this baby, like she was already hers. This was her baby.
"What's her name?" Ezra asks and the women answers almost suddenly and after they heard the name, Aria and Ezra knew it was fate.
"This is Daisy"
Aria and Ezra instantly agreed without even speaking that they wanted to adopt this baby. This was their Daisy. The woman helped them sign papers putting in their request to adopt Daisy. They knew it would take time but they knew soon they would bring their Daisy back to Rosewood. So they continued with their trip, they went to France after the rain cleared up and had the time of their lives for three weeks. They decided to return back to Rosewood to tell all their friends and family about Daisy. Then, fly back to England and take her back with them.
After the news about the baby, everyone was super excited. Ezra and Aria started buying baby supplies when they realized they needed more space. They bought a house soon after in a nice neighborhood with room for all the children they may have in the future, but right now they were just ready for Daisy. They set up her nursery and when they got the call that Daisy was ready to come home with them, They flew to England the next morning where they went to court to legally adopt their daughter. Daisy Mae Fitz, came into the world as an unwanted child, but it was fate who brought Ezra and Aria to her and she couldn't have been any more lucky.
