Chapter 12- Aether Foundation

A\N I freaking love this song for some reason. It's quite relaxing.

"Null we can't go back there. I won't go there ever again"

The next morning soon came along. You sat up a little groggy and dragged yourself to the bath room. When you came back, Eevee looked frantic, "Eevee what's wrong?" you asked. Eevee ran to the bed Gladion was sleeping on, but he wasn't there anymore. He didn't leave? Did he? You looked around for something to give you a clue. You did manage to see something by the phone. A note. You picked up the paper:

"Sorry that I left without saying goodbye. The Aether Foundation really isn't something that interest me. I'll be heading off to Ula'Ula Island to train. See you there. –Gladion"

You were a disappointed that he left. But you understood that he didn't favor going to tour the Aether Foundation and there was no reason to make him go. Although you could've swore you remember hearing him say something this morning. Something about "not going back there", or maybe it was just a dream. You woke up Hau and told him about Gladion, "Aw he said 'see you later' ;). He can't wait to see you again" he said. "Oh be quiet Hau", you told him. Though you couldn't be sure if he left that note just for you, it was a nice thought. After getting ready and packing everything, you and Hau went down to the lobby to meet that guy from the foundation. "Sorry I didn't introduce my name before. You may call me Mister Faba", the man said. To be honest, this guy seemed a little weird to you. Maybe it was just his mannerisms.

You and Hau followed Mister Faba to an Aether Foundation labeled boat at the docks. You boarded and sailed to the foundation. The closer you got, the clearer picture you got of the foundation. The whole place looked neat, clean and white, it wasn't as colorful as the nature of the Alola region. All the member wore white uniforms to go along with the white color scheme of the building. It looked all sciency and high tech. Mister Faba took us inside and showed us to the triangle shaped elevator. It was in use, so we had to wait a bit. When the elevator finally came down, there was a woman standing in the middle. She had short purple hair, glasses and friendly green eyes. She smiled, "I see we have visitors Mister Faba", she said. Mister Faba didn't looked so happy, "I have a title you know and I'd appreciate it if you addressed me as so. Now I must go talk to the president. Show the children around and then bring them up to meet the president" he said not so nicely, then proceeded to walk onto the elevator. "I apologize Branch Master Faba", the woman said. Mister Faba left in a hurry. The kind woman looked at you and Hau, "Hello. My name is Mrs.Wicke" she introduced herself "How do you like the foundation Hau and (Y\N)?" she asked. How did she know your name? You never met her before. "How do you know us?",Hau asked. "I've heard about you from some of the staff. You two are also trial goers, correct?" she told us. We nodded. Mrs. Wicke seemed like a very trustworthy, nice lady, unlike Mr.Faba. You didn't seem to like him very much.

Mrs. Wicke  showed you and Hau around the various floors of the foundation. After viewing the day care center, Mrs. Wicke thought it was time to meet the President, "Let's head up to the conservation area. The President should be up there by now" she said taking you and Hau to the elevator. Mrs. Wicke pressed some buttons and the elevator took you upwards. The conservation area was all green and filled with a variety of Pokemon. There were neat walkways that  spread throughout the area so you could get a look at the Pokemon down below. You saw Corsala, Starmies and many other Pokemon that were playing in the water. "We keep the Pokemon that we're trying to protect here. Pokemon such as Corsala aren't doing so well in the wild. So we're here to give them a helping hand", Mrs. Wicke explained. It was good to hear that someone was trying to help out wild Pokemon. The Aether Foundation seemed like it was a good place, trying to help Pokemon in need. Maybe it seemed too perfect, but what could be bad about a company that works for the sole purpose of helping Pokemon?

After looking around some, Mrs. Wicke showed us the way to the President, who was overseeing some Pokemon visitors. "Your place is here my precious Pokemon. I will love you with all my heart. Now go on and play", you heard the President say. "Ma'am, the children are here to meet you", Mrs. Wicke announced. The President stood tall, "Ah the children. I am the President of the Aether Foundation. My name is Lusamine" the President introduced herself. She was very pretty. She wore a neat short dress and heels. Her long golden hair stretched down her pale skinned body and her eyes shined bright like emeralds. Although her eyes reminded you of someone's. Could it be Gladion's? You absolutely loved his eyes, but the President' were just as bright and full of a beautiful green color. "Wow. You're kinda young to be the President of a company, don't cha think? You're practically as young as we are", Hau told her. The President laughed a bit, "Oh you're so kind child. But I'm well over 40" she told him. Hau looked surprised, "No way" he replied. The President walked over to the edge to look out into the area, "We here at the Aether Foundation take pride in our work to help these poor Pokemon. We give them a place where they can receive treatment and love. Yes lots and lots of love. I love every single one off them "she told you. Well at least the President has a deep passion for Pokemon. It was a little weird but if it motivates the President to care for Pokemon then good for her. You guess. The President continued her speech about the foundation, until something strange happened. A strange hole appeared in the space before us, revealing an odd Tentacruel like creature. It was odd. The creature floated in front of us. The President was in awe, "This must be an ultra-beast. It so beautiful. I-I will love it" she stated. The weird creature then proceeded to attack.

After you and Hau fended off the creature, it faded away along with the hole in space. The President seemed excited, "I will love all the ultra-beast. They are in need of my love and protection. Mrs. Wicke take the children to the next island. We need to get started on our new project to protect the ultra-beasts" she told her. Mrs. Wicke nodded, "Yes Ma'am. Right away. Come along you two" Mrs. Wicke agreed and then escorted you to the docks.
