Chapter 17- Tapu Village

A\N I will still take some suggestions for Pokemon to add to your team. So far It's between Dratini, Shinx and Wishiwashi. ( I will have said Pokemon evolve,except if they can) Although trying to involve a Pokemon that needs water to swim, for example Wishiwashi or Lanturn, might be hard to involve a lot in the story because they don't really float in the air like in the game. I'm trying to keep it accurate like the show. I have a plan for Eevee's evolution into Sylveon , it will be before you leave this island ;) 

Gladion eventually came back from whatever he went to do. Something seemed to be bothering him. He looked like he was in deep thought. Maybe you should wait until he was in a better mood. He wasn't very chatty when he was thinking. After you were done eating, you went outside to sit on the porch. You figured you let him be alone for a bit. It was still too warm to walk around, so sitting will do.

After some time, Hau showed up at the inn, "Hey (Y\N). It's about time I catch up with you" he said cheerfully. You were happy to see Hau again, "Nice to see you Hau. I was wondering when we'd run into you" you told him. He looked at you funny, "We?" he questioned. Aw crap. You never told him you've been traveling with Gladion. Not like he didn't know that you liked Gladion. Hau got the message, "Oh. Speaking of him, where is he?" he asked smirking. You didn't say anything. But luckily Gladion came outside. Hau looked at him, "Traveling together, I see how it is" Hau winked. You blushed, "It's not like that. He's good company" you said. "I bet he is", he replied with a cheeky smile. Not like you could do anything to stop Hau from teasing you. He was a friend and that's what they do. Gladion didn't look like he was in the mood for jokes, "Can I ask you two something?" he said. You and Hau looked at him. "Have you heard or know anything about a Pokemon called Cosmog? Team Skull is looking for it and its best they don't find it" Gladion he told you both. The first thing to come to your mind was Lillie. You didn't say anything. "Not like we'd tell you", Hau told him defensively. He seemed to have shot a glare at Hau,"So you do know something" he replied somewhat angry. He looked at you for a brief second and something in his attitude changed, "Fine. Tell me or not. You must protect Cosmog at all cost. If it uses its ability to summon strong creatures, it could be a disaster for Alola. Do what you must to protect it" he said before turning back around and shutting the door behind him as he went into the room. You were a bit afraid that he was going to bit your head off once you went back inside, but he certainly seemed to have held his anger back. Protecting Cosmog must be important to him if what he says is true. Will these strong creature really cause chaos? You didn't know and you didn't want to find out. Telling the truth or not, if Gladion wants to protect Cosmog, then so will you. It has been some time since you last saw Lillie at the library, where could she be now. After some silence Hau spoke up," If Cosmog does need protection, we better find Lillie and stick close to her" he said. You agreed, "We should get moving to Tapu village. But maybe after Gladion has simmered down a bit. He seemed upset" you said. Hau nodded, "Yea he's already is grumpy as it is" he smiled obviously making fun of Gladion. You had to admit he was a bit grumpy on most occasions. But from what he's told you, he kind of had a right to be all bottled up. Yet, that sort of thing isn't good for you. You'll just have to try your best to cheer him up. Besides you know for a fact he was having fun, like on Hano beach. That was a day you'd never forget.

You eventually went back inside the room. Gladion was lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling with a serious expression. He looked at you but didn't say anything. You wanted to tell him about Lillie, but wasn't sure what would happen if you did. Lillie has been doing ok. You did worry about team skull going after her and hoped that she and Nebby were able to safely get from place to place. Although you didn't want to panic, you sure she'd be fine. Gladion sat up from his position, "If you're ready, we should get a move on. Tapu Village is just around the corner" he said. You were a bit surprised he didn't try to interrogate you. When he asked about it outside, he looked like he wanted to choke the answer out of Hau. Well if he wanted to drop the topic, then no problem with that. But you did want to see Lillie again soon. You gathered the things you had in the room and let Eevee have some fun outside its pokeball. (I don't remember giving Eevee a Pokeball but let's just say that I eventually did ^\\\^ ) You picked it up in your arms and was ready to go the rest of the way by foot.

Hau joined you and Gladion the rest of the route to Tapu Village. It was a little quiet at first, but eventually Hau managed to bring out his happy go lucky self again. The first thing to do in Tapu Village was to stock up on supplies from the journey up the mountain trail. After doing so, some exploration was called for. To be honest, there wasn't so much to explore in a small village. Surprisingly,there were quite a lot of people around, especially construction workers. But the area was nice.Looking at a map,  there were too places to go. Route 15 was mostly water and Route 14 was a short route under Tapu Village, it was some sort of beach that was covered in a dark grayish sand. Hau pointed out that there was some sort of building on Route 15, before you crossed the water. You guessed that was a good place to start. On your way to the building, Gladion said he wasn't going to investigate the building with you. You didn't really want to force him into going and Hau for once didn't say anything against it. Hau probably was thinking of earlier. So you two told him he could wait in Tapu Village and that you weren't going to be long. He left without question. You thought it was weird but Gladion always did what he wanted, so you pushed the thought aside. You and Hau ran the rest of the way to the building that very much reminded you of the Aether Foundation. It had the same look and design to it.

You and Hau walked inside," So this is the Aether House. Neat" Hau complimented. Two small children and their Yungoos came out from the back, "Strangers" they said alarmed. You and Hau were challenged to a Pokemon battle, in which you two passed with flying colors. The door suddenly opened and Acerola came walking in. She looked happy to see you and Hau, "Looks like I finished shopping in time. Glad you guys all got to meet each other" she said. Eevee played with the children's Yungoos, "Met with a battle more like it" Hau said. You looked around, wasn't Lillie with Acerola at the library? "If you're looking for Lillie, she'll be here soon. I left her with Hapu. So in the meantime, you should try to pass my trial", Acerola told you. Another trial, already? Well you couldn't have guess who the next trial captain was. Hau was excited, "I'm so ready" he said. Acerola smiled, "Good. When you're ready, meet me on Route 14 by the abandoned food mart" she said. Hau was literally out the door. You wanted to catch up with him, "Come on Eevee before Hau gets away" you said eager to catch up with him. Eevee ran up to you and you both ran out the door.

Hau sure was a fast runner, you'll give him that. You suddenly also remembered Gladion was back in Tapu Village. Can't do a trial without him. Well, actually you could, but it was more fun when he came along. So you took a detour back to Tapu Village. You and Eevee found Gladion back at the Pokemon center, taking care of Null. You ran up to him and then stopped to catch your breath. "Are you ok?" he asked you, wondering why you were running in the first place. Eevee was perfectly fine. It ran up to Null and sat down at its feet, happy as could be. After some deep breathes you manage to speak, "Sorry. I'm a little excited for the next trial. But I think Hau beat me to it since I detoured here to come get you" you told him. Gladion shrugged, "No worries. We can look around route 14 until he's done" he suggested. You nodded, "Ok. Fine with me" you agreed.
