Pokemon Sun and Moon: My Feelings aren't Type:Null (GladionxReader)

Chapter 2- Battle Against Gladion

A\N  I am proud to have written another chapter for you Gladion lovers. I appreciate the reads and support. If there are any battles you want to see,such as trail captains or totem Pokemon, let me know.

P.S Gladion's name in Japanese is Gurajio. If you were wondering because of the picture, I took Japanese 101 in the  Fall  so I can read Japanese. (But I can't translate because Im a beginner. But we can assume that the picture says " Team Skull Gladion want to battle " or something like that)( The picture in Japanese reads " Sukaruda no Gurajio ga Shoubu o shikaketekita")

Paniola Town made you feel like you were inside an old western. There was nothing but dirt and all the buildings were all mostly made of wood. You didn't mind it though, it made the experience unique. You made a stop at the Pokemon Center to heal up and rest. You fed everyone a quick snack and took it easy. Once you felt recharged, it was time to get moving. "Hey (Y\N) It's about time you got here" Hau approached as you came from the Pokemon Center. You were glad to see a familiar face, "I like to enjoy the sights Hau" you told him. He chuckled, "Yea I know. Hey, how about a battle. I want to see if I can beat you this time" he offered. You took out Mudsbray's pokeball, "You're so on" you said. Using Mudsbray, you countered his Pikachu. But you were impressed that his Pikachu has gotten stronger. The second battle was against his Rowlet. He was no match against the bond between you and Torracat. "Aw man. Guess I'll have to keep trying", Hau accepted his loss with a smile. After he healed up, you and Hau made your way through the Paniola Ranch. The sight of many Tauros and Milktank made you feel at ease as they interacted with one another. The friendly farmers even let you and Hau help them with some chores around the ranch. They were always happy to accept help. You got to groom the Tauros, see how Milktanks were milked, bathe the Mudsdales and Mudsbrays and help feed them the Pokemon. With all that work, you took a break at the  next door nursery, "I'm gonna go check out Route 5. I'll catch you later. Maybe after the next trail", Hau said before he left. That boy sure had a lot of energy. Where does he possibly get it from?

While you were at the nursery, one of the caretakers offered you an egg to hatch. At first you didn't want to hatch it. What if you got attached and it was a Pokemon you didn't want. It would be a horrible thing to just then give it back. But the kind caretaker said the egg had no home. Well no matter what, you were willing to take a chance. You accepted and held the egg in your arms. It was warm to the touch. You wondered what it could be. You went outside and sat the egg down in the grass under a shady tree.  Yungoos curiously looked at the egg. It suddenly moved causing Yungoos to jump and run on top of your shoulders, "It's alright. That means it's getting closer to hatching" you told Yungoos. Yungoos still didn't know what to think of it. Torracat on the other hand, seemed to have a fondness for the egg. Trying to keep it warm any way possible. After having lunch, the egg moved again and again and again until it didn't seem to stop. You kneeled down to get a good look. As the egg hatched, out popped an Eevee. You awed. It was so adorable. Eevee looked at you with its big brown eyes. "Hi Eevee. I'm (Y\N) Welcome to the team" you greeted. Eevee cried in excitement and ran into your arms. This little Eevee was just precious. It going to take some time to train. You wanted to keep Eevee with you at all times until you felt it was ready to be in its own pokeball. It only was a baby and you wanted to gain its trust.

You packed up your things and went  to Route 5. The temperature seemed to have cooled down quite a bit, there was suppose to be a lake nearby according to the map.  As you continued on the route, you noticed Hau and some other trainer up ahead. Maybe he was having a battle. When you drew near, the other trainer seem to stand out to you. He had pale skin, blonde hair with a fringe and the most piercing emerald eyes you've ever seen. It almost took your breathe away. "That battle was fun", you heard Hau say. The other trainer crossed his arms, he seemed to be in a bad mood. Hau turned to you, "Hey (Y\N) I was about to come get you. But it looked like you saved me some time" he said happy as can be. You looked at the other trainer, and he returned the look. The way he stared at you made you blush for some reason, "You battle me now" he commanded. You were a bit startled and flustered, "Um...ok. You're on" you said trying to pull yourself together. "Good luck", Hau said. You nodded, "Hold Eevee for me" you told Hau giving him the Pokemon. Hau took Eevee as you stood out in front of him.

The mysterious trainer threw out his pokeball and out appeared a Zubat. You decided to counter with your Yungoos. "Zubat use Bite", the boy said with no excitement. Zubat flew towards Yungoos, "Yungoos dodge and Bite back" you told it. Yungoos followed your orders and dodged Zubat's attack and then bit it. "Zubat shake it off and use Wing Attack", he commended. Zubat freed itself from Yungoos and countered with a Wing Attack, slamming its wings into Yungoos. Yungoos was knocked onto the ground but it got right back up and growled, "That's the spirit Yungoos! Use Tackle!" you cheered it on. "Quick Zubat another Wing attack" the boy told it. The Zubat flew at full speed while Yungoos charged at it. They both ended up clashing into each other, ending the battle in a draw. You withdrew Yungoos and told it that it did a good job. The trainer withdrew his Zubat. "Say you never told me your name", you said. You wanted to know. Something made you crave to know. The trainer took out another pokeball, "Gladion" he told you, not caring much. Gladion. You'll have to remember that. You wanted to remember his name. You threw out your next Pokemon, Mudsbray. Mudsbray stood proudly on the battle field. Gladion tossed out his next Pokemon and out appeared something you didn't recognize. You looked at it curious. Whatever it was, it look intimidating yet that mask or restraint on its head said something different to you. "This is my partner Type: Null", Gladion told you "Don't take it lightly". You weren't sure what was gonna happen, but you might as well try. You took a deep breath, "Mudsbray don't be scared. We can do it. Double Kick" you told Mudsbray. Taking your word Mudsbray ran up to Type:Null and attempted to double kick. "Null dodge it and Tackle", Gladion ordered. Null followed orders and dodged Mudsbray's attack and returned the favor with a tackle. Mudsbray fell down and attempted to get up. You encouraged it, "You can do it" you told it. Injured but not willing to give up, Mudsbray stood. "Nice. Alright Mudsbray use Mud Slap!" you cheered. Mudsbray kicked mud into Null's face. Null struggled to see it's surroundings. "Don't let that stop you just listen to me Null",Gladion reassured Null. Null nodded. He has faith in his Pokemon. He must have a strong bond with it. "Mudsbray use Double Kick" you said. Mudsbray managed to hit Null once. "Null dodge to the right", Gladion told it. Null dodge Mudsbray's second kick. "Now to up and left, Tackle!" he gave Null orders. Null followed the orders to a T and tackled Mudsbray. Mudsbray fell over, unable to battle. You withdrew it, "Good battle Mudsbray. But I'm not done. I have one more Pokemon left!" you said confident.

As the battle between Null and Torracat started and came to a close,you emerged victorious. Even if it was by a hair. You and Hau celebrated,"You did it!" Hau congratulated. Gladion didn't seemed to be phased.
