Post Story Ch 1 Part 2: Getting Ready for the Date

A\N Ok ok I was planing for this to be only two parts, but I wrote so much that I ended up having to make it a three parter. But no more than three, I promise. Beside I'm having too much fun and may have gotten carried away with the whole first date thing ^\\\^             (Also if your a boy and your reading this, I made this chapter more feminine then usual. The rest of the day seemed to drag on. Time was moving slowly. Perhaps a good night's sleep is what everyone needs right now. After dressing into your pjs, you walked to the kitchen to get some water. You haven't really seen Gladion all day. Thoughts filled your mind. Not the good kind either. After drinking your fill, you headed back to your room. As you walked down the hallway, someone stopped you. "(Y\N) Can we talk", the said. You stopped to turn around. Gladion was standing there in his pjs. He looked worried and uneasy. At least he isn't sneaking into your room like last time. You were glad to see that he wasn't still sulking. "Of course. What is it?" you replied. Did he come to a conclusion or was this something else? "I want to go on this date with you. I know it means a lot. But, I don't think I deserve to by the way I've been acting today", he said. He's trying to punish himself. Why? "Gladion I want you to go with me and the way you've been behaving isn't really a bad thing either. If it was constant, I'd be worried but it's understandable. Everyone gets confused and upset. It's ok." you told him. You guessed he's been beating himself up all day. He was struggling with his happiness and his relationship with his mother. It mustn't be easy to balance both. Your words seemed to go in one ear and out the other, sadly. "I...just can't do anything right", he seemed to mumble, too lost in his thoughts. There he goes beating himself again. No boyfriend of yours was gonna do that. Not on your watch. Gladion is a good person. You knew it. But everyone has their own personal problems. It all started somewhere. He was trying to get to the root of it and fix it. But it's harder than it looks. You stomped on the floor to get his attention. It worked, causing him to flinch in surprise, "Don't say that! You know better. You're a good person Gladion. You saved Null and it evolved. You saved me plenty of times and you have people who care about you. So don't tell me that you can't do anything because you can. Some problems don't solve themselves overnight. That's life for you. But you can't blame yourself for one thing. It will take a while to reconnect with your mother but you're not alone. You've got me and Lillie to help you. You've spent a lot of time by yourself but being alone isn't the answer. Not this time", you poured your heart out. If he didn't get this message, then you honestly were gonna slap the sh*t out of him. This little ordeal got you worked up a bit. You almost literally were yelling at him, but for a good reason. Although, the last thing you would want to do is jump down his throat. "Sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice", you apologized thinking you've offended him in some way. "No, I needed that. You're right. I can't do this by myself. But, I'll try my best to be a better son, even if it's hard and I won't do it alone" he admitted. The message was clear to him, "Don't forget it. Now let's get some sleep. Lillie has a fun day planned tomorrow" you told him smiling. To turn to go to your room, "One more thing" Gladion interrupted. You looked at him, "How about a kiss goodnight?" he asked. He was lucky he was so damn cute. "Alright come here" you beckoned him. You knew he wanted a kiss on the lips and you wanted it too. But you wanted to save the romance for the date. He leaned down to kiss you. You turned his head to the side and pecked his cheek. He looked confused and a bit disappointed, "No kisses on the lips tonight. Save it for tomorrow" you winked at him teasingly. He seemed to pout like a 5 year old for a few seconds, "I'll save it alright" he replied sarcastically. You gave him another peck on his cheek, which looked to cheer him up a bit more. Though he's cute when he pouts, makes you want to laugh it's so cute.

You woke up super early the next morning. You were excited and a bit nervous. You picked an outfit for the day and lied it on the bed. That will do, but before you could get ready, you had to get clean. You took a quick shower to freshen yourself up. Afterwards, you proceeded to get dressed and ready. On your way to the kitchen, you bumped into Hau. You weren't aware he was here also. He looked to be wearing something nicer than his usual outfit. "Hau what are you doing here?" you asked. Hau had a smile on his face like usual, "Lillie wanted me to come here. Told me that you and Gladion were going on a date today and she needed some help" he told you. Oh boy. Wait until Gladion hears this. It's gonna be too funny. "I didn't know Lillie's plan was that big", you smiled awkwardly. All you knew was she set up for you and Gladion to go to a festival on Akala Island. "Anyways there's no time to waste, Lillie wants to see you ASAP. She has an outfit picked out for you and everything" Hau said pushing you of the mansion. You felt like it was a bit much. Though it is our first date, so maybe it was necessary. "I also got to wake up lover boy. So go on" Hau finished before running down the hall. If you could, you'd want to see Hau wake him up. It probably be hilarious. But you had somewhere else to be.
