A\N Slowly getting back into writing. Although it still might be slow because I have a bunch of projects coming up for school. I'll get a chapter out a week, guaranteed. I had to get some conflict between you and Gladion, and it seemed to work out well. Enjoy.

"Say it's gonna get dark here in an hour or two. Why don't ya'll stay here for the night? I promise to show ya'll the way to the Moone and Sunne Altar tomorrow", Hapu suggested. You really didn't want to speak. Perhaps you were still in a bit of shock. "Good idea Hapu", Lillie answered. Would you even be able to sleep? You had to. You had to remember that this was for Lillie. You should be happy that Gladion was back with you. Though you felt mad at him for not saying good bye or even mentioning that he wasn't coming. Now he's here again. You felt all the emotions build up inside you. Hapu grabbed Lillie's wrist, "Come Lillie let me show you around. I believe those two have some talking to do" she said taking Lillie with her. You kinda mentally slapped yourself. Did you make it that obvious? Did you look that upset when you saw Gladion walk out? Either way, at this moment all you wanted to do was slap him. So when the coast was clear, that's what you did. It wasn't a hard hit, but enough to startle him. He looked at you confused and surprised, "What was that for? I thought you'd be glad that I came" he said.

Oh you were happy......and angry and upset. You felt too many emotions right now. It showed in your face. The tears forming in your eyes and the redness in your cheeks. You wanted to yell, but you kept your voice as calm as you could. "You left", you managed to say. Gladion rubbed his cheek where you slapped him, "I had no choice" he told you. So he's going to play that card, is he? "You're not even an adult. You shouldn't be running some big foundation, so don't tell me you had no choice because you know you did" you growled. You knew you were right and so did he. He sighed, "I'm not going to say you're wrong, but who else was there to fix the corrupted Aether Paradise? My mother is gone and so is my father. I had to" he said. Did he really think that whole mess was his responsibility? "It's not your fault and it's not yours to clean up. Not all of the people in Aether Paradise were phonies and maybe even some of them changed after the whole incident. You're just a kid and so am I. We shouldn't be mixed up in a mess like this" you told him. It was sad to say, but true. He turned away from you, "I know. But somebody had to step up and start fixing the place" he said.

It was quiet for the next few moments. You were still angry but you felt more upset. I guess this was the only way to let it out. "I should've told you I was staying but I just couldn't bring it up. I'm sorry. I knew you wouldn't have like me staying quiet. But I figured it would be better if I didn't say anything" he finally told you. You had quick flashback of that night. He mentioned something about it being hard to say things. Maybe he confessed because he already knew he wasn't going with you. All these emotions coming out of once. Maybe you were being immature for slapping him and arguing. This all did seem like a stupid reason to argue, but you got upset because he means so much to you. Was that a crime? You took a deep breathe, "I should apologize too. I'm sorry for slapping you. I was just so angry" you told him. He turned back facing you, "I kinda deserved it though. I should've told you and I should've said good bye. I'm just not good at these things" he admitted. At least he's honest. Probably more honest than you could've been. You wanted to tell him what you saw and heard that night, but the timing felt wrong. So you had to keep it a secret for a little longer. You forgave him. You had to remember that you two were just kids, even if at times it didn't feel like it at all. You wrapped your arms around him, embracing him in an apologetic hug. The moment was tender. Words were said. Actions were done. But that's life. As long as you two mended the pain, you were willing to accept that he was here now. That was all that mattered.

Time passed. You managed to get your spirits back up again and was back to your old self again. Not like everything was perfect, but you couldn't complain. You weren't sad or angry anymore and better yet, he was back by your side. Lillie never did question you or Gladion. Maybe she never felt like she had to. Maybe she knew. You wouldn't be surprised if Hau told her. Hapu's grandmother cooked dinner and it was certainly good. Different from what you're used to cooking yourself, but good. Before you knew it, it was time for bed. Hapu helped you all get settled, "Y'all sleep tight ya hear. Ya'll got a few big days ahead" Hapu told you. Now that you thought about it, traveling through the mountains of Poni was going to be a long trek. Not like it would stop you. You couldn't wait to see what was out there. Hapu left the room, so you all could sleep. But falling asleep was proving to be difficult. At least for you it was. Many thoughts crossed your mind. The possibilities of what could happen on this trip. Could we really find the legendary Pokemon? Save Lillie and Gladion's Mother? Better yet, what about Gladion? You wanted to be with him. You wanted to confess. But will there be time to?

The next morning came. Hapu woke everyone up early. She said it's better to get a head start in the morning because of the heat. She didn't rush anyone, but you took your time to get ready. Once done, you all met with Hapu outside for her guidance. "Alright you herd of Mudsbray. Getting to the Legendry's Altar won't be an easy task. But I'm sure you three will be up for the challenge. It'll take time to get there, so we best get started" she announced.

Hapu took you three to the entrance of the Vast Poni Canyon. "Before we go in. I want ya'll to be sure that once we go in, we won't be coming out for a long time", she said. Lillie nodded, "I assure you Kahuna Hapu. We are ready" she said confidently. Ready as we'll ever be. Hapu was pleased to hear Lillie's words, "One more thing" Hapu said. She made her way to your direction. "(Y\N) I would like to challenge you to a battle against my Mudsdale. I must see for myself how strong you are and how Lillie smiles so" she said. You weren't expecting a battle now, but she was the island Kahuna. It was going to happen anyways. You accepted. Hapu smiled, then looked at Gladion, "And you, sir, seem to have some connection with (Y\N) just like Lillie. Though I reckon, I haven't seen you around much" she told him. Gladion looked a bit surprised with Hapu's forwardness, "I've spent time with (Y\N) and I know what kind of person she is. I guarantee she can win because I've seen her battle countless times. Don't underestimate her" he said confidently threatening. (I'm not sure if 'confidently threatening' makes any sense). Hapu seemed to have studied him for a bit, "I see. So you share the same faith with Lillie. Then what you say is true. This is going to be a good battle", Hapu replied. You were a bit flustered that Gladion would say that about you and be so serious about it. Not to be cocky though, you did get yourself out of tough battles before. But if Gladion says you can win this, then you can.

You wanted this to be a battle of the Mudsdale but you wanted to prove that you had a strong bond with any of your Pokemon no matter what size. When it comes to overcoming Pokemon bigger than itself, only one Pokemon has proven itself. Sylveon.
