Chapter 14- The Missing Stuffuls

A\N For Eevee's evolution it's either Sylveon  or Jolteon . As for the legendries, I will include both of them.

On the way to route 10, you told Gladion about the Aether Foundation and the Ultra Beasts, but he didn't really seem to be interested in the topic. He sure cared for Pokemon, why wouldn't something like the foundation be interesting to him? He must have his reasons. Route 10 was a simple route, leading right to the bus station. You weren't sure that you wanted to go tackle your next trial yet, so you wanted to stick around and train a bit. But before you could think about training, you were approached by an older woman, "Please you two young trainers, I need your help" she pleaded. Could it be Team Skull again? Hopefully not. You were willing to hear her out, "What can we help you with?" you asked her. "I was one a picnic with my Pokemon until a big mean Fearow scared them off. They're small little things and I need help finding them" she said. You looked at Gladion for his response, he just nodded. "Sure we'll help you. What Pokemon are we looking for?" you asked. You figured it was going to be at least 3 Pokemon, "I'm looking for my 8 little Stuffuls" she told you. Wait, did she just say Stuffuls? They're certianly cute but can be a handful if you don't know how to raise them. If this woman has 8, she must know a lot about them. "Ok. We'll keep an eye out for them", you said. The woman was grateful, "Don't worry these Stuffuls are good little Pokemon. Just tell them that their mother is looking for them. They'll understand" she said. You still felt a bit ify, but it was worth a shot. The lady walked away to continue to look for her Pokemon," I hope she right about them being good" you said. Gladion didn't look the least bit worried, "If she says so then she's right. They're her Pokemon, she knows how they are" he told you. Sometimes you wondered how Gladion could stay so chill in these situations, but he's right. No one knew your Pokemon better than you did.

You thought finding the Stuffuls would easy but these things can  hide in the smallest places. You understood they were frightened by a Fearow, perhaps it was still around somewhere. Eevee managed to find the first Stufful, who somehow got itself stuck in a tree. It was too scared to come back down. "Please come down Stufful. Your mother is looking for you", you told it. Stufful responded eagerly by the mentioning of its trainer, but one look down and it didn't want to budge. "We need to help it down", you said. Gladion crossed his arms, "I know but Stuffuls don't liked to be touched and since you're not its trainer, I wouldn't attempt to pick it up" he told you. Stuffuls are very finicky when it comes to handling them. If you couldn't touch it, then how were you going to help it? You thought for a bit, "It's just going to have to jump" you said. Didn't seem like there was any other way. Gladion gave you a weird look, "If you're sure you can catch it" he said. He's giving you attitude, but that's not what's important right now. "Stufful you have to jump down. I'll be sure to catch you ok", you told it trying to sound convincing. Stufful thought about the offer and agreed to jump. "Make sure you don't drop it", Gladion teased. You glared at him, "Oh don't worry. I'll make sure not to jump up in the air like you did and then fall on my butt" you said with some sass. He looked at you straight in the eye, "I did not fall on purpose and I had to catch Fomantis" he said not seeming to realize you were just messing with him. You knew he fell on accident. You smiled a goofy smile, "I know just messing with you Gladion. Lighten up" you told him winking. He turned his head a bit flustered. You giggled. Guess he wasn't so used to being teased. You turned back to face Stufful and held out your arms, "Come on you can do it" you cheered. Eevee helped with encouraging it. Stufful closed its eyes and leaped out of the tree with a little too much might. You thought it be no problem to catch, until it landed in your arms with such force you fell backwards on your butt. This little guy sure has some kick to him. "Looks like I wasn't the only one to land on their behind", Gladion stated. It looked like he wanted to laugh, but he held it in. That boy. What were you going to do with him? "See you're ok" you told it. Stufful was grateful. You stood up and dusted yourself off, "Well one down, seven to go" you stated.

Looking for the other Stuffuls seemed to become easier. Before you knew it, you were crowded by all 8 of them. They were all so cute, you could've cuddled them all. "Ok you guys time to take you back to your mother", you told them all. All the Stuffuls rejoiced. As you all walked back together, you suddenly felt a pair of eyes watching you. It felt like it was coming from the trees. All the Stuffuls bundled up together, they obviously felt it too. "Gladion were being watched", you told him concerned. He looked at you for a second, "I suggest we walk faster before we get attacked" he said. That's one way to get away. But you didn't think it was the right answer. Before you knew it a Fearow came swooping down from the tree. You ducked. All the Stuffuls cried out. You had to defeat the Fearow to protect them, "Eevee hide in the grass with the Stuffuls now. Keep them together for me" you ordered. Eevee nodded and invited the Stuffuls to follow it. After they were safely hidden, you turned your attention to the Fearow. "Care to battle with me Gladion? I know Fearows can be tough" you offered. He took out a pokeball, "Sure" is all he said. You summoned out Torracat and Gladion called out Zubat. Comepared to your Pokemon, Fearow did seem like a stronger opponent. But you knew if you and Gladion worked together, you could defeat it. "Zubat lets start off. Use Swift", Gladion commanded. Zubat fired off an array of stars at Fearow, but it dodged. We need to attack this thing at the same time. Torracat also needs to jump to land an attack. The Fearow retaliated and attack Zubat with a Drill Peck. Thanks to Zubat's small size, it was able to dodge. "Now Torracat! Scratch!" you said. Torracat jumped and gave Fearow a good scratch attack. The Fearow flew up high, clearly angry. It dove down aiming at Torracat with all its might, "Zubat Wing Attack!" Gladion seem to shout. What was he doing?  Zubat charged at the Fearow and flung itself at its head attacking with its wings. Annoyed, Fearow swung its head around and knocked Zubat out of the air with its tough beak. Without command, Torracat ran and caught Zubat before it hit the ground. Zubat didn't seem like it was in good shape, "Gladion you have to call Zubat back. It's not looking so good" you told him. Gladion didn't seem like budging, "I know Zubat can take it. It's stronger than you think" he said. You didn't like that Gladion was keeping Zubat in battle,"Zubat are you ok?" you asked. Zubat looked tired but still wanted to battle. You hoped Gladion was sure about this. "Torracat Bite Fearow" you ordered. Torracat growled and gathered up speed to jump up. "Zubat make sure Torracat can land an attack. Supersonic", Gladion chimed in. Zubat squeaked out a supersonic, confusing Fearow. Fearow flailed around, dizzy. Torracat took the opportunity and bit Fearow. Following up, Zubat took another swing at it with wing attack. Dazed, the Fearow flew off in a hurry. "And don't come back you meany!" you yelled at it. Torracat growled in agreement. Zubat flew back to Gladion and perched on his head. It was a little funny to look at, "Good job Zubat" Gladion praised it. Zubat spread its wings and suddenly began to evolve. It grew twice as big and changed into a Golbat. Golbat was now too big to be sitting on anyone's head. Gladion looked happy, "I knew you'd be evolving soon" he said and for once actually smiled. You were happy too. Seeing someone's Pokemon evolve was a great thing to witness. You wondered yourself, if anyone of your other Pokemon would evolve too. Yungoos?Torracat?Eevee? It will happen in time. You called Eevee back and it came running out of hiding along with all the Stuffuls. It was now finally time to return them to their trainer.

You reunited with the woman and returned all 8 of the Stuffuls. They were all happy to see her again. "Thank you for returning my Stuffuls to me. As a gift I want to give you two these passes to take the bus up to the observatory on Mount Houkulani", the woman said giving you the passes. Things couldn't have turned out better. The next trail was at the observatory. You looked up at the sky. There was still time to take a trip up the mountain.
