This Is Bonding

Annabeth's POV

I walked to the training hall. Most of the campers said that they were going to see the biggest sword fight since Percy and Jason or Percy and Luke. Even Chiron supported the match. A few campers from Camp Jupiter came and watched, including that Lucius guy and Reyna.

"Campers!!! Today! We have a match! Brother against sister! Greek against Roman!" Chiron said and the crowd cheered.

I made my way to Percy. He was standing in the front row. The campers made way for me to go to Percy.

"Hey, Annabeth! Come to see me win?!" Percy said.

"Wait. This is your match? Who are you against?!" I asked.

"Alex..." He answered.

"What are you doing?!" I hit him in the arm.

"You told me to bond with her!" He defended himself.

"THIS is not what I meant by brother-sister bonding!!" I said.

"Aww... C'mon Annabeth. THIS is bonding. Bonding...."

"It's not considered bonding if you're basically trying to cut each other's throat..." I rolled my eyes.

"Step forward!!" Chiron yelled.

"Wish me luck wise girl!" He said and pecked me in the cheek.

He ran to the middle of the arena. He gestured to Alex, and both of them took out their swords. Percy's sword, Riptide, was Celestial Bronze. Alex's sword, was Imperial Gold, a lot like Percy's, nearly identical.

I ran to Chiron. I won't lie, I don't like this, I was worried.

"Chiron... Are you sure about this?" I asked.

"This is great training...."

"They could really hurt each other..." I said.

"When Luke fought with Percy, you said nothing." Chiron pointed out.

"Well that was Luke... That time, I knew he was never going to hurt Percy." I said.

"Have a little faith for your boyfriend. Both of them will not hurt the other. Now I suggest you watch." Chiron said.

I stood there, unable to do anything.

"Ready!! Fight!!!" Chiron said.

Percy struck first. A lethal strike to the back of Alex's neck, but he knew she could block it. She then struck Percy's side. Percy ducked and jumped out of the way. Both their sword struck in the air and Alex turned. Percy jumped like he knew she was going to charge at him.

She did. She swung her sword right a Percy's back, but he got out of the way. Percy countered by swinging his sword to Alex's leg. She got hit and fell down.
She then tripped Percy, causing him to fall as well. They both jumped back up. Both their sword struck in the air again. Percy turned and used the back of his sword to hit Alex in shoulder.
Alex almost dropped her sword. She elbowed Percy in the back causing him to stumble forward. Percy swung his sword to Alex's head but she ducked. Percy then hit the flat side of his sword to Alex's hand, and Alex dropped her sword.

I guess he knew she was gonna do that...

I guess some of my strategies rubbed of on him.

Percy pointed his sword to Alex's neck and he carefully steps closer. Alex walks backward slowly.

"You give up yet?" Percy smirked.

"Not exactly..." Alex said and held up her hand. Her sword came flying to her hands.

Percy ducked to avoid the flying sword. Alex then struck Percy's sword. One hit after the other, both of them doesn't seem to give up.

Finally, they stood there. Percy's sword on Alex's throat and Alex's sword on Percy's throat.

Percy suddenly falls back to the ground.

Alex was shocked.

I was shocked.

Everyone was shocked.

But Percy had it all planned. He kicked Alex's sword and it flew up. He caught her sword and put one on her throat and the other on the back of her neck.

"You give up now?" Percy asked.

"You win..." She groaned. The crowd cheered.

"Hey. You did really good..." Percy said. "Almost no one stands to be in a field with me more that 5 minutes or so.."

"Almost..." I said.

"Wise girl! I told you I would win..." He smiled at me.

"You did good Alex.. A little more training and you might be able to kick you brother's ass next time..." I said and she laughed.

"Well maybe I should learn from you." She told me. "Might as well learn from the longest camper around.."

"Hey! Why'd you not want me to teach you?" Percy whined.

"Cause you'll keep rubbing it in my face!" She said and we all laughed. "By the way, you said almost, you stands longer?"

"Me, Luke.. Thalia... Jason..." I said.

"Well... You guys are important to me.. I could never hurt you.." Percy said.

"Oh so that's your excuse?!" I said.

"I'm your sister!" Alex exclaimed.

"And that's why you stand more that 5 minutes." Percy said.

"Admit it, you can't beat me, Thalia, Luke and Jason." I said.

"I did beat Luke and Jason..." Percy said.

"You didn't exactly beat me..." Jason said.

"And you didn't beat me either..." Thalia said.

"And you didn't beat Luke either.. He decided to sacrifice himself.." Grover said.

"And you lost to me.." I said.

"Wait. He lost?!" Alex asked.

"Yup..." I smiled.

"Well only because you were distracting me.." Percy said.

"Rule 1, never let you opponent distract you..." I said. "We've been over that!"

"Yeah, whatever..." He said as he hugged me.

"Maybe you're not that perfect after all..." Alex smirked.

"No. I'm not..."
