I'll Race You

Percy's POV

"Yo Kelp Head! Wake up!" I heard Thalia yell.

Usually, I would argue and said that I'm exhausted, or I need my sleep, but Thalia is no Annabeth. Annabeth would shake me, bribe me, or even just kiss me. But Thalia... She'll just slap me. Hard.

"I'm up! I'm up!" I yelled.

"About time..." Jason said.

"I'm tired okay?!" I said.

"Donuts?" Hazel offered.

"No thanks. I ate a little too much last night." I looked around. "Where's Alex? And Nico?"

"They left a note. Went for a walk. Be back an hour after sunrise." Thalia said.

"You think those two are-" I said.

"Nico? Really?!" Jason said.

"What's up with you??" I said.

"Nothing..." He said.

"Well, I think it great Nico is warming up to Alex." Hazel said.

"Alex seem to really like him.." Thalia said. "Shame. She could've joined the hunters."

"You are not taking my sister to the hunters." I said.

"Don't you trust me?!" Thalia said.

"I do trust you, but she's not going away across the country to hunt monsters." I said.

"Well, she can't. Because she has a thing for Nico." Thalia said.

"I wanna know how long it'll take for Nico to ask Alex out." Jason said

"Long.." Hazel said. "She'll be his first girlfriend."

"Who's talking about girlfriends?" I scoffed.

"Looks like someone's is going all brotherly.." Jason said.

"Oh come on Percy.. You just won't admit that your sister has a crush on one of your best friend." Thalia said.

"She does not have a crush on Nico. He's a nice guy, but I don't think Alex likes him in THAT way." I said.

"Percy. She stays at my cabin." Hazel pointed out.

"She took care of Nico when he passed out." Thalia said flatly. "Twice."

"Not to mention, Nico was the one worried sick when she was gone." Jason said.

"You know what, I'll believe it when I see it." I said.

And just at that moment, right on cue, a laughter erupted. And it wasn't from any of them. It was from Alex.

"I hate you.." I heard Nico spat.

"Well I hate you too." Alex said.

I looked over to the guys silently saying 'I told you so.', but they kept on smiling as Alex came running, with Nico and a pair of skeletons chasing her.

"Nico!" She yelped as he tackled her.

"Never soak me again. Especially with toilet water." He said.

"It was your fault." Alex said. "You push me off the bridge!"

"You're the daughter of Neptune. I knew you'll be fine..." Nico said.

"Nope. Not hearing the apology yet." Alex said.

"You soaked me in toilet water..."

"You sent out skeletons after me!"
