Third Person's POV
"Where?" Percy said grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Montauk." Poseidon said. "A new beach house. My new beach house. Well... A beach mansion actually. Yours. All yours."
"This weekend?" Percy asked.
"You deserve a break." Poseidon said. "The house can fit like 50 people, so feel free to invite as many friends as possible."
"So like a weekend party?" Percy said. "Montauk? Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?"
"Yeah." Poseidon said. "All your friends. The magical plates and goblets. Brand new surfboards. A chute directly to the sea. Perfect getaway."
"Hm.." Percy said. "What's the price?"
"What price?" Poseidon said.
"The price. The catch. The one condition." Percy said. "Maybe you're feeling guilty or something."
"What makes you think there's a price?!" Poseidon asked outraged.
"Call it a son's knowledge. Or a demigod instinct. Or maybe it's Annabeth rubbing off on me." Percy said. "So what is it?"
"I'm your father!" Poseidon said.
"Yes. That's proof enough." Percy said.
"Fine. Call it an apology." Poseidon said. "For not telling you Alex existed. And a birthday present!"
"Woah. Hang on a minute." Percy yelled after his dad who was just about to escape. "That's not it."
"Argh." Poseidon said. "I'll tell you after the party!"
"You want to spoil my fun? After my birthday party?" Percy said. "Just tell me."
Poseidon snapped his fingers as both him and Percy got teleported into a closed dark space.
"Did I mention I hate the dark?" Percy said. "Where are we?"
"A vault." Poseidon said as he switched on the light.
Percy marveled at the amount of treasure around him. Pearls, jewels, gold. Ancient shipwreck artifacts.
"Why are we here?" Percy said.
"Just needed a place to talk, and a vault is the safest place in the terms of not being heard." Poseidon said. "Especially when you yell at me." He mumbled softly.
"You're starting to scare me." Percy said. "And I don't get scared easily. Now tell me."
"How do I-" Poseidon said. "Well I- The thing is-"
"Spit. It. Out." Percy growled.
"Alexisnotyoursister." Poseidon said.
"I've used that trick before-" Percy said. "And now I have to say, What?"
"Alex is not your sister." Poseidon said.
"Again." Percy said. "WHAT?!"
"If you remember correctly Percy. I never claimed her." Poseidon said.
"But you took her to your castle!" Percy said. "I was 16 when I saw your castle, and that was because I was drowning!"
"She's not mine." Poseidon said.
"She can control water. She understands horse. She can heal with water." Percy said. "What more?"
"I'm not saying she does not have my blood Percy, but she's not my daughter." Poseidon said.
Percy was speechless. Completely, and utterly, speechless. So the only thing he could say, was again,
"What?!"
