Percy's POV
"Let him join! So I can kill you both." Ares said.
"Oh. You can't kill me. You can't kill him. You know you can't." Hephaestus said calmly.
"I can kill him! I can!!" Ares yelled.
"Maybe. If you try really, really hard." Hephaestus said. "But you won't."
"What do you mean, 'won't'?" Thalia spoke up.
"Shut up." Ares said. "I will kill you punk."
"Again." Hephaestus said. "Artemis will 'kill' you, is you did anything to her lieutenant."
"Artemis can't kill me!" Ares laughed.
"But Apollo can." Hephaestus said. "Remember that time? When Apollo beat you? In a boxing match?"
"You're dead!" Ares said, as he maimed his spear through Hephaestus.
Just seconds before the spear hit Hephaestus, his hands lit up with fire, and melted the metal end.
"You're making me a new one." Ares threatened.
"What makes you think you can make do anything?" Hephaestus gleamed.
"You son of a-"
"Say it! Damn it! Just say the word, so we'll get this over with." Hephaestus said.
At that second, Ares struck his sword to Hephaestus' chest. Hephaestus did the same trick, and one side of the sword melted.
Ares' eyes lit up with flames, the same as what I saw the very first time I met him. But this was pure rage. He dropped his sword and tried his fists, the old fashioned way.
Hephaestus may have a limp, but he was clever enough to avoid, and block each and every of Ares' punch.
Ares punched carelessly. Putting his whole weight of the punch, so he stumbled forward, every time Hephaestus was not there to take the punch.
Ares took his melted sword, and threw it to Hephaestus' limped leg. Hephaestus didn't have time to lit up, and it hit, causing gold blood to trickle out.
Hephaestus fell down to one knee, and groaned. His eyes flamed up, literally, so did his hands. He threw a fireball, straight at Ares' chest, and Ares stumbled back.
"What are they doing?" Jason said.
"It's called fighting, genius." Nico said.
"Well we have to stop them." Hazel said.
"How exactly?" Alex said.
I was starting to panic. Ares' bike vest was on fire. Hephaestus was bleeding out. Fireballs flying everywhere.
I looked around, and I saw what I needed. Fossilized shells.
"Percy!" Alex yelled, as I dashed off in between the 2 fighting gods.
"Stop!" I said.
"You wanna fight me punk?!" Ares yelled.
"You lost to me!" I said, which was probably not the smartest move.
"Shut up!!" Ares said, as he punched me.
"Percy!" Thalia said.
"Oh it's on!" I yelled, as I took riptide and swung it to Ares neck.
"Argh!" Ares yelled, as Hephaestus threw a fireball, at Ares' bare skin.
"She's my wife!" Hephaestus said, as he threw another fireball.
