Alex's POV

I was hitch-hiking in a truck, in downtown Chicago, when a gas pipe in a couple of yard in front of the truck exploded. At least, that's what they said.

No one was hurt, thank goodness.

But I'm not quite sure it was NOT 'magical'.

"Hey. Thanks for the ride, I think I'll get off here." I said to the nice trucker who let me ride on.

"No problem kiddo. You have a family you're gonna see?" He asked.

"Yeah.." I lied.

"Okay. Stay safe." He said as he jumped in back on his truck, and drove away, avoiding the crash.

I walked closer, examining the hole. I saw a crystal tiled floor at the bottom of the hole.

That's odd.

I heard police sirens in the distance, and people started to gather around to see what's inside the hole.

"What happened?" I heard a guy asked.

"Some gas leak." Another one answered.

Are they not seeing the tiled floor?

"Hey. What's inside the hole?" I asked a guy.

"Just some dirt." He said.

"There's no tiled floor in there?"

"No. Why would there be a tiled floor?" He said and left.

I could hear the sirens getting louder.

I had a choice to make. To jump in or to turn back.

Of course, my ADHD mind says jump in, and I followed it.

"Hey kid! What are you- Don't jump!" I heard the police said second before I plunge in the hole. I landed smoothly on the ground, as heard people gasping and chattering.

I ran away and hide before the police could chase me. None of them tried to chase me, except for one.

"Hey kid." He called back. "Woah..."

"You can see this?" I asked.

"Yeah.. This is awesome..." He said. "Who are you?"

"No one.." I said. "Just go back and tell them I'm gone and you did not see anything...."

"Okay..." He sounded confused, but he did as I say.

I walked around to see the glass railings, crystal chandelier like bulb. There were bottles, and stuff, all orders out and displayed in tables and shelves.

Everything seemed so.... Magical...

I felt weird so I decided to get out of there.

"Really? Really?!" A voice yelled. "I put you in this place, completely deserted, and you don't even wanna raid something?!"

I turned around to find a girl. Woman actually, in her 20s. Strawberry blond and green eyes, wearing a green cocktail dress.

"I mean. Look at this stuff!! Are you sure you don't wanna take a couple of bottles? This." She shoved one in my hand. "Sun screen!"

"Um... No thanks?" I said and put it back on table.

"Ugh." She groaned. "Such a goody-goody."

"Why are you asking me to steal these?" I asked.

"Girl. If you pass out on all the luck and opportunity I give you, you will not make it in life!" She yelled.

"Luck that you gave me?" Then it struck me. "Lady Tyche." I said and bowed down.
