Jacob was waiting at the couch for me; I could feel his eyes on me as I entered the room. He was on the phone and looked more annoyed than normal. He hung up, his eyes still on me.

“Sit down.” I looked at him for a moment then sat; he surprised me by sitting next to me. “Chloe, I need you to tell me the truth. What happened today?”

“I told you, I thought cliff diving would be fun.”

“Damn it Chloe,” he said as he stood, “I’m trying to help you. All I want is the truth.”

I stood, getting close to him, “and what have you done to deserve the truth?” He was about to say something when the door swung open. One of the guys that had been on the beach earlier walked in.

“What?” Jacob snapped, not even looking at the door.

“Sam wants to see you,” he looked from Jacob to me, “both of you.”

“We’re coming,” Jacob growled. I grabbed my jacket and walked out, glaring at Jacob as I passed him.

“Where are we going?” I asked Jacob once he stepped outside.

“Sam’s, he lives near the beach,” Jacob said, like I was supposed to already know who Sam was.

“I’ll drive,” I offered walking to my car.

“Uhm…you can’t get there with your car.” I stared at the guy I didn’t know.

“Then how are we going to get there? Walk?” I asked.

Jacob rolled his eyes. “Quil, go ahead, we’ll go on my bike.”

     I stared at Jacob. “Bike?”

He smirked, “unless you’d rather walk.”

I rolled my eyes, “where’s the bike?”

Quil laughed, “see you there.” He disappeared into the woods as Jacob got a motor cycle out of the garage.

“Wow,” I couldn’t help but say. It was awesome, one of the coolest bikes I had ever seen. “Let’s go,” I said, hopping on the bike behind him.

     “Hold on.”

I opened my eyes a few minutes later when we stopped. Jacob had stopped in front of a nice cabin.

“You made it,” I looked up, the cabin door had opened and there were a group of very tall, very muscular men standing on the porch. I wasn’t sure which one had talked, but I did know that they were all glaring at me. I swallowed and stepped back, behind Jacob. I peaked around Jacob; I hadn’t realized how tall he was. Someone else walked out of the cabin. The other men seemed to move, to give him room, Jacob tensed.

“What’s going on?” I whispered to Jake.

“Jake,” the guy standing in the door shifted his attention to me. “Chloe, welcome, come inside.”

Jake took a step forward, I did not more. He must have sense that I was not following, he turned around. “Chloe, come one.” I looked from Jacob to the men on the porch and back. “They won’t hurt you, I promise.” Jacob slid his arm around me and pulled me with him. What was with him and not wearing shirts? None of the men were wearing shirts, weird, very weird.

I followed Jacob in, reluctantly. I didn’t want to be here, I wanted to go back to Charlie’s. We walked into a large room with a table in the center; I could see a woman through the doorway in what appeared to be a kitchen. Whatever she was cooking smelled good. Jacob pulled a chair out for me, I sat, he sat right beside me. The glares from some of them men made me think they would gladly help the psycho kill me.

“Chloe, this is Sam,” Jacob said from beside me. The man across the table from me smiled.

“It’s good to see you Chloe, I must admit I was suppressed to find out you were coming here.” He stopped as the lady from the kitchen walked in, she was beautiful, and she had cookies.

“How are you feeling?” She asked as she set the cookies infront of me. “We heard you went for a swim earlier.” I flashed Jacob a glare. What else had he told these people.

“I’m fine,” I said. “But I would like to know who all of you are and why I was forced to come here.” They all exchanged worried glances, like they all knew something. “Fine, don’t tell me.” I stood up, looking back on it that was probably not the smartest thing to do.

“Chloe, sit down,” Sam said, actually more like ordered.

“No,” I said, taking a few steps towards the door, I heard Jacob get up. Someone grabbed my arm, at first I thought it was Jacob, but as the grip tightened I knew it wasn’t. “Let me go,” I hissed at the tall, shirtless, man gripping my arm.

“Sam said to sit,” he replied, his hand tightening. I turned slightly then punched him, though my cast did more damage then my hand. He dropped my arm, staring at me wide eyed, starting to shake. I stepped back, not sure what was going on, but everyone else seemed to know. Someone grabbed my arm and jerked me back; Jacob stepped in front of me. I glared at the guy from behind Jacob, he glared back, then he started…laughing.
