Jake finished cleaning the cut and stayed with me until Bella got back. Edward was with here.
“How do you feel?” Bella asked as she walked in.
“I’m fine, it’s just a little scratch. What happened?”
Bella looked at Edward then back to me. “It was my fault. I was board so I picked up a small rock. I was going to throw it into the woods but it slipped out of my hand and hit you. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s ok. I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?” Bella asked. “I could have Carlisle come look at it.”
I shook my head. “I’ll just take a nap, really Bella, I’m fine.”
“Esme made chicken soup for you.” Edward said as she set a bag on the table.
“Thanks,” they watched me for a few minutes. “I’m fine. I’m sure you have things to do.”
Edward look annoyed. “Bella is spending the evening with Jake, at some type of heathen ritual on the beach.”
Bella rolled her eyes. “it’s a picnic, and you’re going hunting anyway.”
I looked at Bella for a minute. She was going to the beach with Jake, just like I had. “Have fun,” I forced myself to say.
“You could come.” Bella offered.
“No, I have some packing to do.”
Bella sighed. “I wish you would stay. Summers are nice.”
“It’s time for me to go home, it’s where I belong.”
Edward glanced at his watch. “Its time to go.”
Bella gave me a quick hug. “Call if you need anything or start to feel bad.”
“I will,” I promised. I watched them leave then went up to my room. I changed into a simple t-shirt and my yoga pants and pulled a suitcase out of my closet. It was time to put everything back in, make it as if I had never been here.
I walk half way through packing my jeans when I heard a tap on my window. Jasper was sitting in the tree, watching me. I walked over and opened the window.
“What are you doing here?”
“Its nice to see you too.” He smiled. “Can I come in?”
“I guess,” I stepped to the side. He climbed in.
“How are you? That’s a nice cut you’ve got.”
“I’m fine, its just a scrape.”
He ran his thumb across the cut, I winced. “Hmm, I can see that.” He smirked, “if you’re so fine, come with me. I want to show you something.”
“Why should I?”
“Because you know you want to, and its to nice of a day to be inside packing.”
“But I need to pack,” I said.
“You can pack tomorrow.”
“Jasper, you’re with Alice.”
He looked at me for a minute. “Alice went hunting. Lets go, I have to have you back before Charlie gets home from work.”
I sighed, “fine. But you better behave.”
He smirked. “With you in those pants? There isn’t a chance.”
I rolled my eyes as he stepped back to the window. “I am not climbing out the window.”
