Elena automatically headed to Klaus' mansion. He wasn't at home, though. It was Elijah that opened the door, looking pretty worried.
'Elena,' he greeted her vigilantly.
"Elijah. Is Klaus here?'
'Is everything ok?'
Elena gave him a charming smile. 'Absolutely,' she replied. 'I've never felt before. Now answer my question, please.'
'Niklaus isn't here. He's probably gone to a bar.'
'Thanks.' Elena smiled at him once more and she wanted to leave, but Elijah's disturbed face made her breathe out and add in a serious tone: 'I really am ok, Elijah.', which seemingly calmed him down a little. Then she waved at him gracefully and rushed to Mystic Grill.
She really caught him there. He was sitting at the bar and Matt, probably compelled to be obedient, was pouring him one glass after another.
Elena cleared her throat and Klaus turned around immediately. 'What are you doing here, love?'
'I need to talk to you about something,' she responded.
Klaus raised his eyebrows. 'Is something up?' he wondered.
'I want to get out of here. I want to travel the world and get rid of the everyday boredom and the same faces... Hello, Matt,' she waved at Matt. 'It feels like a prison here,' she complained. 'Let's go somewhere else.'
Klaus gazed at her in shock. He hadn't counted with something like this. His plan was working way too well.
Elena frowned and then she put on a nervous face. 'You... you don't want to go away with me?'
'As long as I'm concerned,' smiled Klaus, 'we can set out right now.'
'That you can't do,' another voice spoke. Elena looked over at the newcomer who interrupted her amazing feeling of connection with Klaus so rudely.
It was Stefan. And his following words made Elena start hating him: 'I'm all for you going away somewhere very far, but Elena will stay in Mystic Falls.'
