She had walked up to the guild receptionist and had taken what had appeared to be an extremely difficult job for someone of her appearance. The job was to enter a cave and exterminate an extremely powerful ancient dragon that had recently been causing problems for fellow travelers that had been passing by its cave. I watched her walk away, head held high, ready for whatever came her way. I thought she was way in over her head as I didn't know who she was at the time. To make sure she wouldn't get severely injured or anything, I decided to follow her.

I trailed behind her out of the guild doors and into the wilderness outside of Lastation. I kept an eye on her while also keeping myself a safe distance away from her so as not to be seen.
It was probably another mile or two of walking before she stopped in front of a specific cave. I watched her as she drew her weapon elegantly, and then slowly enter the cave ahead of her. I stayed right outside of the cave and listened for any peculiar noises before entering. The cave wasn't anything particularly special. It appeared to be just like any other cave. Except for the fact that this one had an extremely dangerous dragon residing within it. It wasn't long before I caught up with Noire. She was at the end of the cave.

The end of the cave was almost like a giant circle with a dome-like ceiling. The dragon was slumbering in the middle of the circle. Noire was slowly approaching the dragon when all of a sudden she had disappeared in a flash of white light... or so it had seemed. The light was just like a release of power. Noire's clothes had disappeared until only her underwear was present. Her *ahem* assets enlarged a size and so did her hips. The ribbons had disappeared from her hair and her hair changed from black to a brilliant white. Her eyes had also changed from her usual ruby red to a neon light blue with power symbols in her irises. Then she was covered in a sleeveless and legless black bodysuit. Along with her flashy transformation, a black broadsword of sorts had appeared in her hands to serve as her protection against the dragon.

I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Lady Black Heart had just appeared there right before my very own eyes. Of all the people I thought I would see today, she was the last on the list. I watched as the dragon slowly stirred and got up and made an ear shattering cry. It then lunged at Lady Black Heart with unbelievable speed for something of its size. Black Heart or Noire had foreseen this already as she quickly dashed to the side, letting the dragons claws slice nothing but the air where she had just been standing. It was Noire's move now.

Noire slashed at the dragons back, making a cut along its side. The dragon roared in pain and swept the ground at Noire's feet with its tail. She failed to foresee this though and fell directly on the ground, flat on her back. She had also dropped her weapon and it had been swept away by the dragons immense tail. The weapon flew until it impaled itself at the ground, directly in front of me. I could see the fear starting to develop in Noire's eyes as she realized she had just been defeated. I couldn't bear to think of what would have happened if I had done nothing, so I took hold of her sword, pulled it out of the ground and dashed straight towards the foul beast. I leapt onto its back and jumped once more into the air and thrust the weapon straight down, into its head. The dragon stopped moving, its claws just seconds away from Noire, and suddenly disappeared, defeated. I flipped backwards in the air, and landed on the ground, with Noire's sword still in my hand. She stood up appalled at what had just happened.

I knelt before her and said "Lady Black Heart, I believe this belongs to you." I held the weapon sideways in both my hands, offering it to her. She took it hastily, and gave me a look of disgust before replying to me.
"Everything was going just fine. I had him right where I wanted him. I didn't need your help." She said as she reverted back to her normal self. I replied quickly to her saying, "I'm sorry Lady Black Heart. I was just concerned about your safety that's all." After I said that, her face turned red a little, as no one had ever cared for her in a way like that before. However, she still walked away, in an attempt to completely ignore me.
