I didn't fully understand what was going on yet. I walked towards what appeared to be a younger Lightning until I stopped right next to them. I tried calling out to them but there was no response. Next I went to grab my clone but my hand went right through the ghost that was me. Then that's when I realized that this was a memory. My powers must've triggered a forgotten memory and in doing so it let me wander into the memory through my dreams.

Even though I wasn't able to call out and interact with them, I could still hear their conversation as if I physically existed within their atmosphere.

"You know she really has taken a liking to you. She has never done that before or has felt that way towards anyone else either." Said the girl.

"What are you saying Serah?" Said the other me.

So she was Serah. She must've been Lightning's younger sister I'm assuming due to their resemblance. This must be an important memory.

"Basically I'm saying to her you're a very special person. Just like my fiancée is to me. That's what I'm saying." Serah said.

"But why would I be someone that special to her? I'm just someone who was thrust into this world without any objective or direction." I said.

"Well yes but you chose to trust Lightning not knowing what kind of person she was or what she had done. Plus you even risked your life for her. And I bet you still would or am I wrong?" Serah teased.

The me in my memory looked like he wanted to argue but couldn't find the words to do so. Serah was speaking the truth.

"Quinn let me tell you a story." She said.

"Ok I'm listening." I said.

"Lightning didn't used to be so cold. She used to be a happy young girl like I am. But a lot of things changed. We never knew who our father was as he died when we were very young and our mother had died when Lightning was about 15. Ever since then she has tried to overcome their deaths. Because of this Lightning sought only love as when this happened she was still a child and this is why she appears so cold on the outside. I was the only one Lightning had left and Lightning didn't want to lose me. In fact her name isn't really Lightning. It's Claire. Claire Farron." She told me.

"What?" I questioned.

"It's true. In order to protect me, Claire joined the military. Hence the green pauldron she wears on her shoulder. It signifies her rank. Sergeant Lightning. In fact when she joined the military, that's the name she took on. Lightning." Serah said.

"Wow. I knew Lightning was strong but hearing this makes me think she is even stronger." I said.

"Hmm maybe. But that isn't all." Serah said.

"What's missing?" I inquired.

"Even though Lightning is a very strong woman, she feels just like any other girl. She just chooses to hide it. In fact, sometimes she'd be more emotional than I was. But I remember when she was alone, she'd cry a lot. But she didn't want anyone else to know. If she lost you, it would hurt her a lot."

Serah then turned to the real me.

"I hope you remember everything now. So please, take care of my sister. She needs you Quinn."

Then I was blinded by a bright light and became reacquainted to my true self back in Gamindustri.
