(Present)
I opened the doors to the Basilicom to reveal a mess as if someone hadn't tended to the building in years. The walls were slowly falling apart and it came as a shock as the walls used to be in much better condition. The meeting tables were in pieces and the throne like chairs dilapidated. This was the first room where I had a conversation with Noire.

(Past)
"Wow, I never thought the inside of the Basilicom would look this elegant. " I stated in awe.
"Well of course it's this elegant. The CPU of this nation lives here. What did you think it was going to look like? Just some ordinary building?"
"Well considering I've never been inside it, I had no idea what it might've looked like."
Noire sighed slowly as to hint that she might have been slightly disgusted with my response. Just then another girl had appeared out from one of the rooms. She looked almost exactly like Noire but her hair was shorter and she had her hair in twin ponytails too.

(Present)
"Uni" I said the name struggling not to shed a tear. This is the first room I met Uni in. She wore a short black dress and she had the same eyes as Noire. Red like garnets. Although she was the same as Noire, her personality as a tsundere was more intense.

(Past)
"Hey Sis. Who is this that you brought with you?" Said Uni as she looked at me with a look of disapproval. She appeared to be disgusted by my very existence.
"You know Uni, that is a great question as I never even got his name." Noire said.
"Hmmph. What is your name then?" Uni and Noire both said in unison.
"My name huh. Why is it so important?" I said.
"Because I'd like to know the name of the man who I am indebted to." She exclaimed casually. I guess I should tell her what my name is then. No reason not to. Keeping it a secret would be a sign of distrust. I didn't want a goddess not to trust me.

"My name is Quinn."
"What an odd name. I don't think I've ever heard it before." Uni said. She appeared to be suspicious of me. I'm sure Uni probably didn't trust a lot of people though. I thought that it would be a good idea to watch my back around Uni. Not that I thought that she was mean or vicious or anything, but because she didn't trust me.

Little did I know how much trouble these two would cause me in the times to come.

(Present)
I approached the main table where people could meet and discuss important informational meetings in the Basilicom. The table that had once been massive and had shown great resilience against anything placed or slammed on it, now laid in pieces on the floor.

(Past)
"Wow what a massive table!" I stated. I examined the table that seemed to cover almost half of the length of the room. The table had to be at least 25 feet long. It was a table fit for well... a goddess. At the end of the hall behind the table there was an elevator that went up to several different floors. The top floor of course was probably the goddess and her sister's private quarters. Other floors belonged to certain staff but apparently according to the list on the elevator floors, there was an empty floor as it was registered as just a floor without a name. Other than that, there wasn't much to look at.

Noire stared at me for a minute with a puzzled expression on her face.
"Is something troubling you?" I asked her.
"Yes. As a matter of fact something is. I have a question for you in fact." She responded.
"Shoot" I said.
"I'm just going to guess that you haven't been living in Lastation for a long time have you?" She questioned.
She had me there. The "house" that I had was just a beaten up old home that I had temporarily used as it was outside of town. It was barely in any condition to be living in. Also she was right about me not being here very long. I had been here maybe a week and a half.
"If that is the case, assuming I'm correct, how did you get to Lastation?"
"Well it's kind of a funny story actually." I told her.
