Lightning's POV

It wasn't too long before he left that Valentine's Day had occurred. I knew Quinn liked me but I didn't know that he'd go to such lengths for me on Valentines Day.

Night had fallen upon the sky and Quinn wanted me to meet him somewhere. I was somewhat disappointed as he hadn't spent time with me or anyone else at all today but he had something special planned. I put on my special maroon colored dress that I loved to wear and started to head towards where he wanted to meet me. Surprisingly, when I found the location of where he wanted me to be, it was a portal. Cautiously, I peered through with my head until I saw him standing there then I went on completely through. He looked so handsome in his jet black tuxedo. But even I didn't know what he had planned for us tonight.

It seemed we were in a grassy field and he had laid out a picnic basket with a blanket underneath the most breathtaking sky that was illuminated by the ever shining stars above. He invited me over and we sat down on the blanket. We sat gazing at the sky for what felt like hours, as he told me that the stars above reminded him of the shimmering light he saw in my eyes.

He then took my hand and we traversed into another portal to a different place, under a bridge with a quiet yet aggressive rainstorm. He told me the rain reminded him of our hardships we spent together and how the Lightning had brought him peace. Because I was the Lightning he spoke of. Aggressive yet slender, graceful, illuminating and beautiful. Just like the electricity that shot from the skies above.

Finally he took me into his arms into another portal to a small stage outside with a microphone and jukebox on it underneath that same beautiful starry sky with those peaceful grassy plains. And he told me that I was the greatest thing that ever happened to me in his life. Then he sang for me. A song that warms my heart even to this day. He called it... "My Dearest."

Towards the end he told me that I was his dearest treasure. That he wouldn't trade me for anything in the world and I bit my lip because towards the end of the song we both were in tears for we knew that we would give anything we had to be together forever or so we could save one another. That was just how much we loved each other. And as stubborn as I wanted to be I couldn't deny it. He said the song reminded him of how I truly was inside. Even though I appeared cold, just like the song, I was warm, inviting and loving on the inside. He embraced me in his arms and he said "I love you My Dearest. I'll never forget you even if I leave someday. For I'll always have you in my heart and that's how you'll always be with me."

Then we kissed. Tears streaming down our cheeks for our love was proven to be eternal, as we both were each others dearest treasures.

And even now that he doesn't remember anything, I know deep down that he does remember us. I just hope that one day he will return to me. For he was my light just as much as I was and still am his.
